Sir the only thing which is missing from E Klasse is the logo. Should be either on the bonnet or the front grill. U can get the front grill with MB logo, really looks awesome.

its a royal PITA tempering around with the electrical's on these german's!
here's something offered by PAC that just might solve your problem in retaining the steering controls on the W211:

if you haven't looked into it already.

Ahmed bhai, thanks a lot for the pointer but the thing is, reaching for the volume knob right on the Head unit is more like a reflex now and I really dont feel the need for the steering audio controls anyway. Though it will be cool to have aftermarket stereo control. Lets see, may be I shall add that later on

Agreed, to some extent, that MB logo grille doesnt go with it. And the hood emblem, I took it off as soon as i got the ride It looked like a target sight for hitting the pedestrians etc while driving the car LOL
I will put it back on some day, currently an AMG hood logo replaces it since it is in black colour and goes with the hood colour. Also have the simple MB hood logo, prefer the AMG wala.

Thanks sir. The thing is there arent many audiophile grade dvd players around (Sans Alpine F1 Status) and those too have been discontinued. So at the moment it is a compromise untill a manufacturer comes up with an exceptional sounding DVD player, want best sound? get the single DIN reference audio players, want double din screen player? Get a DVD player with not as great sound. Want both? Dream on

Sir regular E class comes with a bonnet emblem while AMG comes with one on the grill. Since shahid bhai changed his to AMG emblem so i suggested to get the AMG grill also, looks much better in my opinion.
