Like I said in my previous post he was recommended by people who have seen his work and have had work done by him. That restomod is not mine and neither was my choice...I just admire the work that went into this.

It seems like a m119 at a glance with a different airbox,

But I would again say, why?? Any random chevy would have been cheaper unless this engine was free

It's a m113 for sure. You are right he must have had a donor car for the sensors, eis key etc to talk to each other. But still and as I have said before it's a feat to accomplish this. Workshops here in the UK wouldn't dare touch such a task. And the ones that could would only do so if the had $100k worth of Snap Off branded tools in front of them. The 'talent' I refer to is the ability, skill and confidence to take on such projects with basic tooling. Years ago my uncle in RWP had his car resprayed. The workshop used old saw blades to get to the metal...no chemicals, no abrasive papers, no orbital machines but old used saw blades.

Saw blades for paint removal is the standard way of removing paint in Pakistan.

Anyway sticking an m113 into old american barge is laughable, but to each their own.

For yourself get a 605 and get a dieselmeken pump and injectors for it

Also

Dont use the 722.4 from a 250d but rather the 722.3 from an older 300d, you may want to fully rebuild it before installing as its ancient equipment now and allmost all will have bad soft parts

Completely mechanical and more compatible

722.3 are more beefier and handle more torque - they also have a metal drive governer gear rather than a plastic one on the 722.4 which breaks (its very easy to replace though - if you are good with transmission repair)

handing to moron to replace that results in a dead transmission again after a a few hundred miles.

in any case - gut and remove the tailshaft pump (its to tow start the car only) - and it has a tendency to jam up and then cause catastrophic glitter failure of the transmission.
