To lighten up the air here are a couple of FAQ about Mercedes, and these i have copied and pasted from my own thread at pakwheels you can see them there as well

YES, the W124 was brilliant and probably better than the W210
NO, The W124 is not rust proof - they do rust - quite a lot actually.
YES, A Mercedes - even a 1998-2002 Mercedes is better than a Saab, Volvo, Vauxhall or Ford of the same age.
YES, a Land Rover product is a lot more unreliable than a Mercedes product of the same age.
YES, generally speaking, it is a good idea to buy a Mercedes
YES, once you have experienced a Mercedes you will probably never buy anything else - certainly not a French or British or Japanese car.
YES the 30 year paint warranty might as well be a 300,000 year warranty for all the chance you have to claim against it.

No - is the stock initial answer to a goodwill claim that isnt argued. Go back and argue.
Yes - A service guy saying "it isn't a common fault" simply means "yes it is a common fault but I'm not allowed to admit it".

No - If your engine dies but restarts having cooled down it's not your ECU but most likely the crankshaft sensor.
If it rattles underneath check the exhaust heat shields first - far cheaper to fix and always come loose in the end.
Yes if you only have 2nd gear and reverse your gearbox has resorted to default settings and must be checked immediately.
If your having problems with hot and cold air give those duo valves a little tap first.
Engine wont rev and misfiring badly - look to the MAF its a common fault.
Yes those single windscreen wiper mechanisms do need greasing.
Yes engine mounts do fail and NO pattern parts aren't as good.
And lets be honest that 3 pointed star counts for an extra 20 mpg, at least to your heart if not to your pocket.
YES 203 Do not jump start it follow the advice in the DIY section

ES fuse number 1 is the cigar lighter fuse on a 210 and 2 on the last face lift

Yes: 100% On the 230K Engine the Kompressor (Supercharger) has not 'blown' if the MAF is coated in oil. It will be a blockage in lower part engine breather system located under the inlet manifold.
