Hi, I should have given my first impressions after driving it for about few hundred km's before this question of yours. To say the least, HS's suspension is definately twice or more stiffer than Civic x. Ride is stiff, one feels every small irregularity in tarmac. Whereas, sportage is more of corolla in terms of suspension, very soft, less or no feel to minor irregularities on road. Thus, more robust and will use the term "maar khtai hai like toyota". I myself out of Mg and Sportage will not hesitate taking Sportage on rougher or irregular terrains comparitively. Whereas, Hs is more of a nakhrae wali gari like Civic.
Secondly, few points I felt very odd at first impressions;
• Rear view mirror placing is very odd and uncalled, it hinders the front view big time.
• There's a hissing sound from Air conditioners compressor or fan, which is very obvious when cabin is quiet. Which to me is very annoying and dissapointing.
• Fuel average: Although, I haven't come to the point where tank is refilled the second time, but in about 5 minutes of stationary motion car drops almost 10-15 Km's of range on Odo meter.
• Android auto initially, was not very easy to connect & only connection is through cable even for Carplay, which needed few attempts. Apps needed to be installed and updated in order it to be fully functional, with only youtube music option available, it also requires Youtube premium subscription to be active on screen.
•Navigation: Navigation is not active. Whereas, the car used by dealership for test drive had its navigation functional. Dealership say's it is likely to be active in some time.
•Brakes: Brakes strangely need to be pressed very low, had to be very cautious at start and even am now.
Will discuss driving experience and comparison in next posting.
