Make sure you understand that it requires hi octane fuel to run and uses DCT transmission whose long term life might be questionable. Plus low fuel average.

I would suggest a different crossover like Tucson or Sportage, household name and reliable.

Tucson and sportage are pretty old.... Even in Pakistan they offered like tge first generations.... Why would one may purchase such old generation?
Also DCT and all other essentials are well covered under warranty.... It's been 3 years, i didn't face a single issue in my MG HS Alhamdulillah.... Also it requires 95 ron unleaded and above.... Which means not HIGH OCTANE.... The culprits are our our gasoline station not the vehicle.
And also Honda Vezel is DCT, that's just an example, there are many other CO SUVs using the beautiful technology of DCT, believe ne DCTs are amazing if you know how to use it ️

Actually RON 92 is the standard regular fuel. Anything above that is considered Premium / Hi Octane, but most oil companies have at least RON 95 as a premium option and some offer RON 97.

It doesn't really matter though. I generally prefer to use RON 95 anyways even in my regular Toyota Hybrid engine because at least it's somewhat better quality than the RON 92 on offer here.

There are tons of Vezel DCT failures. Germans manufacturers who were the pioneers of DCT started moving away from DCT and back to normal automatic since last few years. So I am not sure what’s “beautiful” about a DCT unless you drive a Porsche 911 or Ferrari. There are more downsides to it especially ones found in these economy/family cars.

Based on Thai market pricing, the HS PHEV is about the same as H6 HEV. So if MG does price it close to PKR 10 million then it will put pressure on the H6 pricing.

I don’t think it’s going to create any sort of pressure.

MG HS is not really a sought after car these days. HEV will still have the same engine and hi octane requirement.

I was at the Haval Club dealership last Monday and put off making the deposit because of rumors of the HS PHEV. Thought it's best to just wait and see what they have to offer before making the payment.

Its a really good deal under 10 for a PHV , has all the features and frills , beautiful interior , does it have DCT?
The only problem with HS was its awful fuel average which is fixed with PHV and DCT gearbox (heard many times on these forums about transmission heat up issue)

The biggest problem is its ac compressor going bad. Tons and tons of mgs have got this issue. Pura engine dashboard khulta hai for cars with mileage as low as 10k kms. I don’t think phev has solved that problem.

Why do you think they have not solved this issue? I think they replaced these cooling coils within warranty that would cost them money. They should have solved this issue in new model.
