People avoid HS because of its fuel average but this does seem a bit too low. Are you using hi octane? That’s what it requires. Perhaps it’s normal for MG HS non hybrid, will let some owners chip in.

I think all oils need to be changed ASAP as car is around 03 years old and very less driven.

Hopefully it will improve to 9 km /l

Man if only they had more than 1 dealer in a city along with good customer service, these would've been everywhere. Perhaps that's how they are able to maintain these attractive pricing.

Specially on actual fuel economy.. once EV range is used up what happens how good is the hybrid and its actual fuel economy figures on normal/aggressive driving.

I think when EV is exhausted, it will axt as normal 1.5 T and mileage will be as per previous I.e. 8-10 in City

It's not supposed deplete battery completely. At certain percentage it should act like normal hybrid. I hope that's what MG's PHEV tech does. Toyota and popular PHEV vehicles like Outlander does functions like that.

That’s one would expect but look at @shanklq s posts above.

He’s getting 9.6km/L within city after draining battery which is terrible for any hybrid... Not sure his problem is resolved now or what the issue was?

I don’t get it.

If so many units are delivered to customers, why are there no PHEVs on the road?

Why nobody is posting actual owner reviews of the HS PHEV?

Why nobody is clarifying how is its hybrid system once EV charge is finished/very low and its fuel economy on hybrid (nonEV) mode?

One battery is finished its fuel average is around 11,12 with AC. i drove around 1000KM in city and highway without charging even once and it gave around 11.

Who engineered this car to act completely as ICE. As much as I hate to say, this is literally the worst PHEV in market.

Around 500 km driven on motorway rest in city overall average 11. All with 0 percent battery.

Bro that's 13.5km/l if 500 km driven on one tank. Tank capacity is 37 liters.

PHEVs will never deplete their battery completely. They will always shift to HEV mode when battery gets below a certain point. Depleting a Li-ion battery is very detrimental to it's health so they design cars to always have some battery left over a recharge via regen etc.

If it's giving around 11-12 km/L after PHEV mode then it means it's just a poorly tuned hybrid and turns on the engine more aggressively.

To give the benefit of the doubt, most hybrids are doing better in city traffic so given the Motorway traveling it MAY go up to 13-14. However, given the poor average of the 1.5 in the normal HS I'm not surprised that it would be a poorly tuned hybrid. Sad to hear, with its pricing it really could have shaken up the market
