Salam to all brothers. Friends i need some serious help, i booked my mg hs white with red interior on 22 feb 2021 through bank alfalah from MG Khyber. Today i was contacted one of its sales manager that my mg hs had arrived but they had my mg hs white with beige interior rather then red interior. Now mg khyber representative is telling me that they dont have mg with red interior so kindly u have to take a beige one. Now he had thousands of excuses.kindly help me out pakwheels on this. As i strictly replied that i want a red interior no matter what. So plz help me out with this scenario. THANKS

Your options
1. Talk to a lawyer regarding course of action
2. Sell this car and wait for CKD, because ordering a new one would take several months to deliver
3. Exchange with someone else on pakwheels etc,

Beige with red is an unpopular option, but i think ive seen 1 or 2 on pakwheels for sale, try approaching them. It'll also be easier for the other guy to sell white/beige.

Happened with my car too just stay stubborn and fixed on red i got mine like 2 weeks after they offered beige but talk to someone senior and give them a solid excuse or something why you only want red because if you only say that you want it because you chose it they will feed you with more excuses

Aren't all regular CBU units Trophy? The only different ones are Exclusive Trophy, these are the ones after price increase but don't think those have hit roads yet

I dont know the exact details behind Trophy or exclusive. But its the first MG HS that I have seen with the Trophy badge

Late but Great, after very long, very very long received My HS yesterday (Black/beige). Took about 9 months to be here, as it was booked in January last days. Alhamdulillah. Do say

So had first top up yesterday. +3k fuel from site to home. Resulting a total of 9.4k to tank full. Was heavy to heart but perhaps it is how it is now.

Your car your choice, you may run it on water and vinegar if you like. Sensible people dont run high octane on engines that dont require it because it results in severe level carbon deposits in the combustion chambers.

I think you belong to the school of thought that assumes hi octane fuel cleans engines.

A Toyota mechanic once advised to get the car (1zrfe) filled with high octane occasionally so the throttle body remains clean and carbon doesn’t deposit. What would you suggest?

@Xulfiqar is right, higher octane fuel will result in higher carbon deposits, the Toyota mechanic should have asked to use a carbon cleaner instead of high octane. Hi octane usually comes in formulae with carbon cleaners/ detergents to solve the carbon deposit issue but it's unwise to use it for cleaning purposes.

This approach that hi octane is better for cars in general is wrong. It's only required in cars which specifically Need them.

Did you then both share the same charass cigarette afterwards?

Did your mechanic assume that a port injected engine is spraying fuel on the throttle blade? (Good charass)? Somehow a slower burning fuel (high octane) can make car run cleaner? (Excellent charass)

Lol as mentioned it was the mechanic not me! So don’t know what training they get and this puts into question the service level of toyota dealerships
