I want to replace my 2012 Corolla Altis tires the company fitted terrible ones with either Michelin or Yokohama Advan DB V551 in width 205 (on the stock 15" rims). I want a quiet, smooth & comfortable drive, not that concerned about grip. Price is no issue so which is the better tire out of these? I read on the net that the Yoko is known as "The Silent Tire"
go for advan dbem using the AVS db in my vti orieladvan wasnt available then i guess
Can any one also tell me if these yoko db tires are easily available in market and what would be the price range of in size 205 with 15 inch rims ?
Go for 195/65 rather than 195/70. It will keep the sidewall height same even when the tire width is increased. That should help keep the speedo nice and accurate, and without any problems from speed guns
just close your eyes and go with YOKOs .... they are just marvelous
proud owner and huge supporter of Advan Db . have them on my city in 185/65 and they are just heavenly
dear i have had installed Michelin Enery 195/50/15 on my vitz this saturday.. previously had YK A-Drive... both are good tyres... i will suggest to go for Miclelin.... Tyre are manafactured in 9th week of 2012.... Very smooth and soft drive and i can very well feel the differcen.. Price per tyre Rs 9500.... i m loving it
Advan dB all the way!
michellin tires are too soft for bumpy roads of pakistan
whats the difference between AVS n Advan?
AVS are sportier. Advan is for ultimate comfort, for normal people
you can see the difference by reading up on it. just google for yoko website.
well strangei was recommended AVS for my vti oriel so i got AVS db
No there isn't anything strange about it.
Advan db are the proper silent tires.AVS are silent as well, but lean towards better grip for the fast n furious driver. Only slightly compromises on the silent tire thing.
well i guess then they are good for me when i floor it
Shop keepers keep saying energy saver are best but here people people yoko .
And are AVS DB good tyres...How much would you rate them out of 10?
All I have ever heard is that if you install Michelin tires, which I rate as number 1, your car, one day or another, would be standing on some bricks.
so which brand you have purchased. please share your experience?
Michelin Energy Savers are hands down much better than Yoko Advan DB V551.
Specially the ride quality, braking in wet and tyre life is unparalleled.
The energy savers with new tyre marking system are even better than the XM2.
Ultimate performance tyre.... I have used on my accord and also on my toyota corolla gli 1.6 ..... Gave me 102000 km on corolla. These tyres will save you a lot of petrol coat over the passage of time To get most out of these tyres always check the air pressure at least after 4 to 5 days and rotate the tyres (balance & aligned) after at least every 10k.Today i got new advan db decibel for my car (corolla) cant think about anything else simply love these tyres
