Mineral Water - Which one to buy

culligan is used at our home... tds around 80..

buy a tds meter before experimenting with RO. costs between 1500 to 3500. HANNA brand is good. genuine HM USA is good.

if your khara pani is above 2000 tds, small domestic plant WILL NOT WORK. you will need to do heavy investment.

brother we have well water with a lot of fine sand, ultimately settling in our tanks!!

is there any solution to this??

for drinking water, we use gallons but can we use a unilever pureit for purifying the scarcely available line water and will an RO plant better than PUREIT??

According to WHO anything below 300PPM is excellent for drinking water. There is no lower limit and there is no conclusive proof that low or high TDS water is harmful. Some people say low TDS is not good, and they prefer to get a mineral cartridge with RO. If that makes you more comfortable then go with it, otherwise you can just drink plain RO.

I would suggest you to just use boiled water .. I personally used Nestles, Aquafina .. but it was not good .. then I started to use boiled water ... It hardly takes 15-20 mins to boil 20 litr water ... and total peace of mind . .. dont trust any bottled water .... I myslef was involved in raid at one of the famous bottled water located in I-9 Islamabad .. and the condition of the plant cannot be explained in words .. So please be careful for the health of your family. Just tell your servant or any 1 from your family to boil water on daily basis .. 15 20 litr water is enough for one day use and as I said it before ... It just takes 15 mins to boil it ....

Can boiling remove Arsenic contamination?

We are using unilever pure-it from last three months. and its a very good experience for us.
Earlier we were using gourmet bottles. Gourmet costs us about 4.75 rupee/ltr. (excluding cost of transportation of our own cars), pure-it cost us about 1.10 rupee/ltr. Our last filter was replaced at about 1350 ltr. use (approximate calculation).
If you have a smaller family, like 6~8 persons then its good for you.
Its of 9,000 rupees, plus it needs a germ kill kit to be replaced after 1500 ltrs of use. and since its a unilever, so the name justifies the quality.

Yes, satisfied fully.
U can use it if u hav smaller family.
Only u can say draw back is that the water poured from top comes down after purification after abt 30 mins.
But one can manage this aswell.
So choice is urs.

Sir I have read a lot about Purifiers today & mostly guys say these Purifiers only do what boiling the water does but Purifiers don't do work of reverse osmosis which is the best for water purification

I have used Nestle for four years but I had stomach issues. Recently I have switched to Ripple Water and my stomach issues have been resolved. If anyone suffering from such issues can try switching to this brand or other.

Nestle and all other MNC's are good in quality. Though I have come across news that thier staff often refill from local taps for 100% profit. But incase you are deciding to switch it is important to know what mineral water really is.
