Mini Pajero manual 660 Turbo engine oil

After purchasing mini pajero 95.
There was some leakage of engine oil so i changed oil to 20w-50.
Now i have resolved all leakage issues and there is no oil leakage.
Can i use 10w-40 now??
20w50 is tol thick nd in cold weather takes long self for starting.
Kind guide.

Switch to 10w-40 immediately. Leakage have nothing to do with oil grades.

That's nothing... I did same. Bought the car, poured in 20w-50 on recommendation of guy working at petrol pump. Did 2000 KM on it, found service manual and advice from people here, switched to 10w-40 from then on. 3+ years now, and its great. There were leaks again, but I replaced engine seals, and that fixed it.

Finally proper turbo boost & vacuum pipes I ordered few weeks ago from AliExpress showed up at home. The parcels arrived within 3 weeks time with standard registered mail shipment, which is pretty good. Turbo boost gauge was out of stock from this seller, so had to drop it. Pipe and clamps were ordered from separate stores as one didn't have both items, so pipe came couple of days before, and clamps after. If you need complete diagram, see this post. This sticker is under the bonnet of my Pajero Mini, the labels are in Japanese but you can easily follow the connections. I followed the same diagram.

About the vacuum pipes, I found last night this engine's repair manual, but unfortunately its in Russian language. So diagrams are okay but for instructions I have to do translation. I will post link to it here as well. Seems like you'll have to return back to thicker viscosity oil again

Well, it will be quite expensive, let him enjoy the ride for few months at least

Hmmm... What he'll save from not overhauling the engine will be spent in changing the oil frequently

If engine is not consuming thick oil, then whats the issue?

I asked from a mechanic if these 660cc Pajero Mini engines can be overhauled, he suggested to swap it, it'll be economical. But totally depends on situation, and mechanic who knows to do it.

The types of mechanics I've met so far, I'd definitely go for swap, and that too after engine gets really weak.

Us k elawa koi masla nhi hai....

Mainy engine foundations change kraye thy aur mjhy doubt hai k vacuum pipes sahi nhi lagye mechanic ny.......

I have wagonr stingray 660 turbo. Previously i used 10w 30 but then i changed to 5w 30 mileage of my car increased very much. But now in summers i am having some sound from my turbo may b there might be some other issue. But my point is whether it is recommended to use 5w 30 proficar in summers jn turbo engine or not. Please let me know
