I've been reading that people are getting 16-17 with Passo Eco mode as well so if the fuel averages are same then I would opt for Passo.

Passo/Boon does not give 16-17. My Boon with the lightest foot and the best fuel only gives 10-11. Max it can go to 12.5 or so. The Mira ES will definitely give better mileage!

This technology eco idle save fuel in traffic jams like where you have to stopped for traffic to clear or at signal, right? Please let me know how eco idle works if you drive the car in traffic jam but you are going 10-15 km/hr or you stop the car for second or 2 then slowly accelerate again, How the lag in engine restarting hinder the sudden need to accelerate in this condition ?

When tyre gets punctured fill half of the fluid bottle in tyre via air filling nozzle and inflate tyre (That's just temporary solution get it fixed by a tyre wala soon

Engine restarts in milliseconds but its just meant for signals not traffic jams , bcuz one car restarts and you stop again without accelerating till 11 km/h car wont stop

So finally got myself a Mira E: S . The drive is very good, ac is chilling, suspension is soft. It is giving me an amazing average of 7km/l . Even better than my Vitz. So all those who encouraged me to buy this ride kindly tell me how to further improve its mileage and the car is running on 155/65/r13 japan tyres which r too thin but i wont change them for the sake of economy, what tyre pressure should be kept for optimum mileage. How does the eco idle system work, when i stop the ac compressor turns off. does the car give a starting sound when at signals or it doesn't.Lastly the sound system is pathetic, should i only change the pre or the speakers aswell as the pre doesnt have any adjustment controls and im low on budget :(.

Update: So the Air filter was very clogged and the tires were inflated to 45 :-# . Got the Air Filter changed and tires to 32, now the mileage has improved to 14km/l . Oil Change is pending, please recommend me the suitable grade oil for her and hopefully the mileage will improve more

In my observation this car can give 18km/l but only if u drive at the speed of 40km/h which im sure nobody can drive
For a Driver like me who likes to drive at 60-70 km/h and has the Ac & Music system always on, If i even get an average of 12km/l i would be more than happy, i have switched to mira E;S from vitz only because Vitz fuel consumption was draining my pocket, I was getting a horrible average of 8 on my 1.0L Vitz. The Goodies my Vitz had, this car cant even come close to it. I really miss my Vitz but the fuel consumption forced me for such a big change

To be honest , I hate Vitz and mira es too !
Daihatsu got successful in saving fuel in mira es but they reduced the quality of every interior part and messed up with the shape to get the desired consumption but it made it look worse!
