I think it's the late version of this engine because it has two cat converters and two O2 sensors. This is as far as I know.
In your case, having one O2 sensor (and not having a cat converter) makes sense because the first sensor functions to measure air/fuel ratio of exhaust for maintaining an optimum mixture (not too lean or rich). And the second O2 sensor functions to monitor the cat converter's efficiency (which your vehicle doesn't have).
