these great leaders are never taught in current history books...instead they teach akbar "the great" and how he served satan by doing kuffar and forces people to do it...history books teach that babar was great leader who conquered india....but dont mention the lodhi dynasty was a muslim empire in control of india...so was babar great that he destroyed muslims in india?
My dear BTCF...
The reason why Babar (pioneer of Moghal era in India) and Akbar merit more attention is perhaps the fact that these two are related to the region where we belong i.e, Sub-Continent/South Asia. Akbar is more important in my view since as a good administrator he wanted to accommodate the majority of his sub-continental subjects i.e, Hindus. Although I do not agree with Akbar's failed attempt at introducing Deen-e-Ilaahi, however, he gave the concept of religious coexistence, and tolerance something which present day Pakistani youth badly needs to learn.
I think due attention is given to Salah-ud-din in Pakistani syllabus. (Or at least that was the case in my schooldays) For instance there was a passage named Saladin in Oxford-UP's schoolbook called "Guided English". Similarly he used to be repeatedly mentioned in Social Studies/ Pakistan Studies books too.
However, I dont mind even if for some reason Salah-ud-din finds less mention in our syllabus. Already too much of Arabization of our minds, books, ethos, culture, narratives. Too much of religiosity, too much of fundamentalism, too much of radicalization has become a CANCER of this society. We need to give it a break.
