Engine oil should be 5W-30 or 0W-20 for maximum fuel eco. Ask for VIC oil filter # C-317.

Please get check light diagnosed by a reliable shop and have it resolved at the earliest.

BTW you shouldn't have to turn off AC at traffic light. There is some underlying issue for sure. Have the spark plugs inspected too.

Assalamoalikum!

As I v purchased a used ek wagon 2014 model and not sure about the last reading when the gear oil and plugs were changed.. reading on the odometer is 66k

Shall I change the gear oil and the plugs?

If somebody knows the current price of Denso iridium hpr11 plugs and the Mitsubishi gear oil?

One more thing, the meter ( Avg km/L) gets reset every-time I start my vehicle... What could be the issue?...

As per my knowledge don’t go for gear oil change unless you feel any problem in the gearbox or shifting. The new oil will mess up with the gearbox.

For plugs your mechanic can tell it when he will open the plugs. Sometimes even after 5k they are needed to be replaced but sometimes they work more than 20k, depending on the car’s condition, the atmosphere and the driving habit. Better ask your routine mechanic to check The plugs

I think they will cost around 1k each.

The average reset thing is normal.

I am still facing the same problem. With AC on I experience a power falloff. Without AC, it runs smooth but 0-40 km/h per kbhi slow ho jati

Have changed;

1. The plugs; previously it was denso, now NGK laser tip

2. Gear oil along with cabin filter, air filter and ofcorse oil filter

3. CAT and throttle body service/cleaned

I think you need new map and o2 sensor if car is losing power on load despite everything else being in order. Lancer doesn't throw any codes you a scanner won't pick this up.

I have Mitsubishi Ek Wagon Model 2011. Its engine over heat light comes on when i drive for 15-20 minutes at speeds above 104 kph. When the light comes on i leave accelerator for about 30-45 seconds and light goes off. I have checked engine oil and radiator water its normal.
When light comes on there is no smoke in cabin, engine compartment and radiator pipes are also not that hot. Also radiator coolant has not flown to extra coolant box when light comes on. What to do friends....

For oil grade you have to consult the owner’s manual. Each engine has its own recommended oil grades. Try finding the manual online if you don’t have a print version.

Aoa. I have Nissan Otti 2012. For last six moths a strange sound is coming from car. Apart from sound, car is running fine. I haven't get it checked from any mechanic. Is there any good mechanic in Isb/Rawalpindi for imported cars?

A good mechanic will use a stethoscope on all the moving parts in the engine bay to trace out the noise. There's Yasir somewhere in the shanty towns near saddar, rawalpindi. You can reach him on 03155177482. I have received good feedback about him from lancer owners.

I have never visited him myself though.

Best advice is to read up on the internet about your symptoms and then reference them against what the mechanic says. You'll start developing a sense of the problems yourself.

The one and only option is to replace another KABLI Engine of 660 In Karachi you should find some good engine from Shershah You should consult your mechanic too or must get his expert opinion before purchasing a new one!

Please recommend engine oil and quantity
Also transmission oil and quantity

Last engine oil was 20W-50 Zic x1 and it has vanished after 2500km

Use Shell Helix Ultra 0W-20. Buy from any good pump or from Daraz. Shell has official store on Daraz.
