Some new updates :::

The rear end needed some new sheet metal that is being curtailed, the car had it's first black base coat today... The engine will be out tomorrow and the engine bay will be painted first and the rest of the car..

No work was done in the past two days since you know, molvi, a Christen lady and a whole lot of illiteracy has plagued our nation..

Busy day today.. the engine along with the transmission was removed with all the relevant peripherals. It is a hard task. This is done coz u can see in the pics the engine bay needs to be painted and few rotten spots and the battery racks needs work but still...

Also I checked in the front wheel arches they are not that bad an undercoat will do the trick...

so far so good...... progress. keep the check on rust beneath the fendors. re wrap the wirings harness and install them in proper way.

See the marked areas. make all the pipes straight and properly managed before fitting back the engine.

And yes the area inside where the viper motor is installed. in both the sides inside, there are holes for drainage of rain water which gets choked. clear it out and make it rust free.

Thank you @nnabeel. You are always very helpful. I have will check for the drainage hole today. The wiring will be done after completion of the paint job and so will be the interior.

Do you recommend getting a proper undercoat. My denter was saying just to apply a thick coat of coaltar/damar says it will be better than any undercoat. Tikli is there just the idiot sprayed paint on it. Also some of the pipes are remainants of the CNG kit my mechanic will remove them probably today as engine will be in.

no problem.....my pleasure.

Yar if u can afford, go for undercoat otherwise dammar. but i bet he will apply dammar by hand or by brush whereas the undercoat will be applied just like spray paint so better to stay with undercoat.

If ur electrician is expert he can hide most of the wiring behind the firewall and some of them inside fender to make engine bay clean. Although a difficult task, but can be new things.

Bhai my electrician basically deals with mitsus and he is very much in favor of that no wire should either be visible either in the engine bay or the cabin so hoping for good.

That is why I was asking you sir. Even @Xulfiqar SB. Asked me not to put damar in as it smells... So I will go for the under coat.

Had to search for a new grill. Found one brand new. Costed 2000rs. But still I was thinking mil gayi hai Allah ka shukar.

The mechanic is working on the engine seals are 9:16pm on November 7th 2018. The car inshallah will be painted tomorrow.

Nippon Autos Plaza. Mansoor autos also had similar grilla plus other grills of the same model but they were asking 4000rs for them.

oh yes nippon autoes...i remember i bought many items for my civic. Initially when i went there he said k saman hai but dhundna parega and after an hour waiting he bought me the side indicators, bumper lights lens covers and some more plastic bits.

Yar go to magazine lane where the pathan sell old parts. ask for the guy Arif ki shop. he has the lights

Seems like u have planned to complete before your departure. good to see engine getting installed.
make sure u paint all the necessary things black including the radiator, the gadre which holds the engine, head cover of engine, block, iron pipes coming out of engine etc

remove all the unnecessary pipes etc.

pic 1& 3 are the areas which needs to be addressed with coloring
pic 2 is the nut which has rubber cover on its top and it holds the bonnet.

@nnabeel bhai i have kind of delayed my departure till the end of the month to give me some extended time.

No. 3 is the gear cable sir it was fixed with the transmission but in this it was detached. Y
I have the rubber you pointed out in No. 2 took is out because workmen will lose them.

i am thinking of chroming the exhaust manifold and the water pipe as well.

Will be installing a new radiator after i come back suggest if the aluminium radiators are good. my other lancer has the aluminium radiator with fiberglass bottoms and it is working good..

he brought me the grill in a couple of minutes. and also bought new front indicators and reverse lights. he has all the stuff i guess but i have always seen a huge crowd of customers over there so the guys dont even bother for older models.

Arif Ki shop. I will check that out today....

So I washed all the interior bits today. Didn't have time to check the car though...

Will be looking for a paint to cover these too.
