Spent the whole day fixing up the left door handle/armrest. And tried to polish the car well. She was very dirty and needed work but allahumdullilah she is working well.

The Lancer 91 was due for a regular brake service. I had changed the front brake pads recently but the rear brakes needed changing, the rear bearings needed to be re-greased. And since she is nearing 150000kms the rear brake seals were also changed. They were a bit squishy now. The drum seal were also changed.

One driver side wheel was done by my mechanic Abid Uncle. And the other side was fine by me that is why you will find photos of only the right side. And adjusting brake shoes is tedious..

And the only left side pic:

The brake shoes costed 1650, 1000 for Misc.. means fluid, seals etc. And gave 1000 to Abid Uncle.. for which he also adjusted my cars speedo cable.

looking not that bad. but tell me, the window winding handle is it colliding with the armrest or not. especially when the door is closed and u r sitting inside trying to open??

@nnabeel sir the window crank is at a distance so as the lock handle hence no issues..

Inke last user he inko Bechte Hain kyun ke either woh inko buna nahi sakte financially ya they don't have time. Ya kisi mechanic ke pass khari hoti hai woh inse parts nikal kar scrap kardete Hain.

Sir is ustaad ki mentality ko change nahi Kar sakte na hum. They say jenyan part hai even if it is crap.

Only some body parts and interior parts are usable atleast I will not advice anyone to go for scrap mechanicals.

Since @nnabeel Bhai told me about this guy who has plenty of lancer stuff lying around and doesn't know the price of literally anything and throws any number coming in his mind. The same guy I bought the meter other stuff from.
A couple of Saturdays jago I and @abdul_basit007 went to shershah and visited this guy when returning home. Picked out some interior trim my car had been missing since the restoration. Today painted them grey they were brown but something is better than nothing ..

And the final. After drying.. my camera makes it look a bit light but it is actually darker.

Things used:
1. Old tooth brush
2. 320 grit sand paper
3. Paint thinner
4. Cotton waste
5. Some dish washing soap
6. ABRO spray paint grey color (ordered online)

I will try to get the OEM meter I found installed tomorrow and it will need a different garnish/cover.

I got this cover when I bought the Dashboard from Shershah in 2018. Saeed Bhai gave it for free. It was with me since then. The difference is the digital cluster garnish has the inidcattion light installed in it. The analog cluster has integrated indications. Tool this out. Cleaned it. It needs a bit paint but I am planning to wrap it in that carbon fiber type vinyl sheet.

bhai the panels u painted grey, paint a coat of lacquor it will diminsh its shine and make it look a bit matt finish.

same goes for your instrument cluster garnish. clean it, ruff it, wash it, paint it matt black and a lacquor coat.

but so try this on some sample before applying on actual thing.

as for the guy where we visited, get as much parts as u can not for lancer only but for other cars u and ur friends have....

I ordered a cheap accessory from AliExpress last Monday. It costed me a total of 3rs. Yes 3rs. Including shipping. It was delivered today. And now let the pics do their job..

but u ordered the non glowing one. u would have ordered the glowing one that glows in dart just like new cars to find the keyhole. even some of them comes which connects with the door light wiring for illumination.
