February 1st, 2020

The fuel gauge for my Lancer 88 had been creating issues and giving me false readings. That is a no no for me plus I had to change the battery. So morning 10:30am took the car to the electrician and after a hell lot of budging (a bolt was badly stuck) the fuel gauge sending unit came out and I and immediately it was clear that the rheostat in the unit had broken wires. Had to take it to plaza Hafiz ki, he replaced the rheostat for 1000, gave 1000 to my "electrician" and the battery AGS 80 for 4500 and some other goodies. Now let the pics speak...

Don't mind the dirty trunk it is always like this but the car works.

Also had the cutoff switch installed, and bought some emblems and paint photos later..

In continuation bought some badges they were coming in cheap and a ratchet I had a manual one and this one is good enough (my hands are itching to use this).

DIYed the cutoff switch to the negative point of the battery it was bought quite some time ago and now I had time. The reason is I don't drive the car that often so why drain the battery she is driven like twice a week these days so.

February 2nd, 2020

Since my house is going into remodeling very soon inshallah I was under pressure of my mother to gather all the stuff for my cars lying around the house. It is a Sunday so collecting all that I can find.

All of this belongs to Lancer 88.

Also found an old phone of mine in between the search, charged the battery and it turned on and picking up a SIM

For quite some time everybody was telling me to get the number plates painted. I was in the mood for some DIY. But if it doesn't go well I will have the paint removed and painted again. This is my first of doing so to Thora sa halka hath rakhne ki guzarish...

The paint is quite wet for final results now and I will give it atleast 12 hours do dry.. so let's wait and watch.

Also:

The badge is metal and has been fixed using 3M double tape but to be a little safe I probably will a screw with a little plate at the back which will be hidden..

When doing black, you are supposed to remove all tape before the paint dries off, otherwise paint will come off.

thats the way with the cars, the more you take care, the more nakhra pop up. once u stop one noise coming from something, when that noise go away, u start hearing another noise from some where else

i had some electrical work done on saturday but when work completed i was very happy. i was doing final checkup and saw left side inner axle boot leaking grease so the bell is ringing to get its clip repalced as soon as possible.

burn the paint. paint it yellow and then write it brush using oil paint. or u can it done near preedy st very near to your office.

During this current collapsing economy and geniuses sitting in offices guiding the government so sell necessary institution (privatization). I have been busy and will remain a bit busy, Pray to Allah all that I saved us all because he is the provider to all.

So, for my lancer 88, I have heard about Harris Paste Wax from a lot of people and thought to give it a try...

The results are pretty good water beading is effective but you just can't cure the dust in the city..

Also you guys can observe the number plates fiasco at the back...

Dust is just crazy in Karachi! I have ordered a blower for blowing the dust off the car, and have never used it before. Let's see. As for the current state of affairs, yes its absolute shambles. May Allah save us all.
