ive not seen pak army vehicles in desert green very oftenly... i think its US army color.... sherwan has standard army color, in use by pak army....

what do u say?

The color is not desert green, its desert tan. 'Beige'. Its used in the southern parts of the country in deserts & I think units in Multan also use it, or some may as they cover the Cholistan desert.

I say go for it, if anyone objects then you can maybe do something on it to make it look different.

The one I have is the beige/Camal, but there is a lighter shade which is used by the Amaricans. I have seen the same color with Pak Army as well. The lighter shade is better then the darker Camal color.

Was anyone out yesterday in the rain? I saw one on Khalid bin Waleed road, Green with white latened tires, took a picture but it was heavy down pour, not clear.

I was out, but unfortunately no one volunteered to come along and take pics. Since I dont believe in tops so I was out, screen down & no top. I took one pic before it started to rain again & the phone had to be kept back in plastic.

TIP: If you ever want to drive in rain, either take your t-shirt off or wet is completely before riding.

Wear rugged soled shoes because the foot is going to slip off the clutch like no one's business.

Don't go fast in water, instead help those who are stuck.

Sarmad Bhai, there was no SOS call, other wise I am ready. But being last day of the month, got stuck in office, reached home at 8:45. Shaheed e Millat, Khalid Bin Waleed, Tariq road, Allah wala Chowk was submerged, left my car at office. But it was good day for the jeep.

firstly, what to buy? well i though a mutt might be the cheapest option available since i cant invest a lot right now. how much would one cost?
secondly, running costs=?
thirdly, practicality. can such vehicles be used for day to day driving around the city?

Have started the mission A2 restoration today..... motor is being removed today..... next step would be modification of engine foundations for the new motor.....

What's wrong with the drive shafts ? I have not seen any here, but I think Sherwan got some from Kharian.

As for the color scheme, there's no specific standard. Some have them black and some the body color.

If you stick to the Pak-Army scheme then they have the green all over and under. The US Marines have the underbody painted black, while the Army has the body color going all over. Like I said there's no specific standard.

What is the color you are getting done ? What you can do is paint the body color over the suspension and see if you like it, if not have it painted black... Or you could do vice versa.

Still havent seen any pictures of your Mutt's restoration.

Following items are missing in my mutt and i am looking for them:

Drive shafts, both rear and front.

Gerry can with bracket.

Both shell racks.

Battery Box.

Spare wheel.

Black out light.

Diffs check nut (hooks in wheel center)

As far as color is concenred, i think only two traditionl colors are suitalbe for mutt, the one which is regular army dark green and the other desert tan as you have mentioned before, i might go for th desert tan, what do u suggest?

As far as motor is concerned, i have not put it on sales yet, so no offers:

listen why not to have a deal: you need motor, i need above mentioned parts, you please check em out and send to me and i will send you the motor, and the diffrence as well if any because kakakhail has mentioned about some guy who has parted the mutts for parts sales.

Why do you want the shell racks. Should have told me earlier I literally ripped them out of mine & eventually sold to the 'thailay wala' as per weight.

Can give you a rough idea on the prices;

Can=600 as is condition

Can rack=2000

Shell rack= no price, dont think will even find them anywhere

Battery box=will have to be fabricated, not available

Spare wheel=3000 (minus tire)

Blackout light=1200 (even get one with a fog lamp place inside)

Hooks in wheel center=not available.
