finally took My MUTT out ...n m in Abbottabad these days ....

Mashallah all set n running perfectly .......
i m using a POTOHAR CARB ....i think it needs another effort coz the exhaust pipe isn't giving perfect smoke ......

Sarmad, Hi! doing well and of and on seeing the thread and missing the action. By the way nice rims on this FJ.... You can see the picture of my one on my profile. Its just round the corner, but when u are not there yourself to supervise, no satisfaction.......
I am looking for rims, give some suggessions. Should I go for the Land Cruiser one? as I am getting a set in Peshawar.

needed to ask abt one opinion is there any posibilty if swaping a 1.3 engine in MUTT , with same gearbox???

Great going. I would paint the front grill in the body color though.
As for the rims, well LC ones really look cool and if you are getting a good deal then do get them, along with a set of MT tires. MTs enhance the look of the beast, though preference prevails.

Anything is possible, but a 1.3 may be underpowered. What engine 4k ? why not try a 7K (1.5 or 1.6)

Thanks Sarmad for suggession, I was thinking to paint the top air vent black as well to contrast it. In addition I want to paint the shocks and break callipers RED!! what do you think?

salam every one, i have m151 jeep in its original petrol engine and gearbox. the problem with my jeep is when i turn on the 4x4 the jeep wheels or differential jams and the jeep dosent move then and sound squeaking .so could any one please tell me whats the problem and how it can be sorted out your help would be appreciated

Is it both the diffs that jam or just the front one ?

You may have a broken tooth or teeth in the front diff. Suggest you jack up the front so that the wheels are in the air and then try the same engagement.

i think just the rear differential jams because its the rear differential which squeaks and in normal mode 4x2 the jeep runs fine

Boss,
If the jeep runs fine in 4x2, it can't be the rear diff that is a problem. The jeep is a rear wheel drive vehicle and if there was problem with the rear diff, then you would have the same condition in both 4x2 & 4x4 situations.

I think your front diff is jammed, and since that restricts the forwards motion of the vehicle, your moving rear diff makes all effort to push forward, creating that squeaking noise. DO NOT TRY OUT FURTHER, AS YOU ARE STRESSING OUT THE REAR DIFF.

Have your 4x4 gear engagement, shafts & front diff checked out THOROUGHLY.

I got them from the US, don't know where to get here. I think you'll have to improvise on them.
