I guess i could get some positive tips and guide lines from the experts here at the forum.
well, the plat from iam talking about is a toyota 2.4. i.e. Toyota 2L engine. MY injuctor pump is giving a very unique sort of problem SO i though to ask you guys if any one could guide me in trouble shooting my fuel injuctor pump.
my fuel pump take AIr vapors from the FUEL RETURN LINE. and its after effect is that the inlet line of fuel towards the engine, flow the diesel back to the fuel tank. and the next time i start my vehicle then i have to prime my primer pump and have to suck the air vapor out of it, TO maintain a steady and proper flow of air. (but again when i switch off my engine) it start to take air from the FUEL RETURN LINE of that diesel pump and again the after effect are same that my Intake fuel line, leave the holding fuel and as soon as it leaves the pressure, all the fuel flows back even from the primer pump into the fuel tank...
what i did to resolve this problem, is that i INSTALLED A NON-RETURN Safety valve at the fuel return line of my pump... now it just flows the fuel fro back to the tank from one side (as the other side of the safety value didnt permit the air vapors to entre the fuel pump) presently my engine is giving me a half self starting but, STILL I KNOW THAT INSTALLING THE NONRETURN VALVE is not the proper way... as the fault still exists if i remove the safety valve...
PLease guide me, whats the reason for this ??? whay my pump is taking air from the fuel return line??? and whats the remedy??? infact i was really surprised to notice that the pump is taking air from the Return line as it dosnt makes any sense... as normally faulty and weak fuel pump start to take air from the fuel inlet line... but here the case is really different let me tell you that on the basis and element of doubt just to be sure short of the nature of problem i even replaced my Primer pump as well... at first i tried it without a primer pump by by pass connection and then i installed a brand new primer pump. but the fault at FUEL RETURN line is still with my injuctor pump... kind guide me with your precious tips...
warm regards
