Dear friends, i am running a modified M151 A2 in good condition, the only problem so far is its rear drive shaft. Its universal joint snapped at point of attachment with gear box, last time it snapped at differencial side. I replaced the caps and got the u joint bearing rollers all filled up, still it happened.
The engine is 3 C, very fuel efficient but loaded with torque, in original gear box with running 4x4
so anybody got a solution to this never ending problem, this time I have lost the caps, along with the connecting hub of gear box with rear drive shaft,
my idea is those caps connecting bolts are not strong enough to control all those horses and Nm of torque, somebody please help.

3C is very torqy. Eventually your Diffs and Gearbox will give up. Solution change your gear to 1C matted with sj410 4x4 and pajero diffs. This is a painful mod. Alternately, change your engine to 3S Petrol as it has less torque than diesel but sufficient enough for offroad.

I want to install wide tyre in my m151 jeep.. I mostly drive on carpeted roads plz suggest me tyre...

any tire model with size 265/65/R16 with 2 inch spacers. Please note if you go offroad with them then your fenders will hit the tire, so may need to increase the fender depth.

im new in here and i would like to share you my new M151 that im working on and seeking for your suggestions and tips.

what i did so far :

• getting engine run. i faced some troubles with the carb but now its working smoothly... and i found that the oil pump is not pushing oil into the engines head !! i dont know whats wrong with it ! perhaps the oil is the reason maybe its stuck becouse its very old and ididnt change it yet.

• chaking gear box if its working and yes it is

• chaking Light if they are working and Yes The are :))

• now im working on brakes. when i removed rear tiers i found that there is no brakes on rear at all ( Brake shoes - no springs) so i bought them for it from Scrap yard ( drove 400 Km just to bring these parts ) and now im witting to get out from work so i can collect my brand new Brakes Cylinders from DHL ( i bought them from Ebay for 65$). so ill be done from brakes today INSHALLA :).

A good news to share,,, Rehan Qureshi of National Motorsports (organizers of Nooriabad, Jhal and Mithi) called a moment ago and informed that Rally of Tank (KPK) is ON for 7th April, 2013. He said that it will be a proper rally as Jhal or Cholistan,,, meaning that it is not going to be friendly get-together for a cause but a cut throat competition as in other rallies. Further, as per Rehan, no vehicle without roll cage will be allowed on the track. It will be an off road rally and not a tarmac one i.e. as informed earlier by col. sb who came to Cholistan.

what is the average on suzuki carb
and which model carb ur using
i have restored the orignal carb with new kitt and jets it is giving me 1 litre 12km.
engine sound is very low if in idle you cant tell it is start or not
one more thing i have put in the hino truk generator 24 volts and 15 amp only not putting any load on the engine like the orignal one.

@cyrius brother did you check the fuel consumption?it really gives 12 km?also if original carb is changed will it effect the performance of jeep?and will there be any effect on millage with change of carb with suzuki or any other?

this is my first time to write here, and I'm very glad to do. i'm from Makkah , Saudi.

I have M151 a2 1974. I would like to swap my mutt engine with another better petrol engine. I'm looking for a fit engine I don't like to change the gear or any original things. the problem is we don't have some engines witch you have it in Pakistan. So, I need your advices about the best engine choice !? or list of engines. It doesn't matter toyota or any engine.
