Modchip for PS3 has arrived

I am looking for detailed information as I might be going for a PS3 after few other gadgets I have to get.
As what I read in some forum they use a chip and 12 wires to connect with PS3.

Wow so now all we need is ps3 and a usb dongle or iphone will do the job without disassembling the ps3?

yes s55... but you need to make sure you buy a PS3 soon as sony blocked the exploit in firmware version 2.42. So you'll need a PS3 with 2.41 or below firmware... due to the high demand the older PS3s are stocking out quite quickly.

You obviously cannot play online and newer games after sony disabled the exploit may and may not work. But most of the games released to date of PS3 are compatible with around 300 100% downloadable and working
