Agreed.
I have gone through the thread. To me, the detailed post # 124 by Retarded buddy really makes sense, don't know about the others. Members have different opinions so can't really comment.
I think, on the PW forums there is too much duplication and same questions repeated on a daily basis. Even answers are the same. Naturally, these will be. An example is 'Oil' threads:
'Sir, I have been driving my car since 1986 on 20w50 on the advice of a trusted mechanic. Now, please tell me should I switch to 0w20, or 5w30, or 10w30? But I really want to go for 70w80. Please help, it's very urgent.'
Similar queries are repeatedly put up for other common problems.
My request to PW Admin is to keep one thread each for questions that are most frequently asked like Oil, Tires, Spark plugs, Brakes, Cooling system, Suspension, Shocks, Detailing, Electricals and so on. Life will be very easy this way.
Secondly, members should be encouraged for DIYs and small restoration projects. This shall help in understanding how automotives work and how to troubleshoot and slightly modify these. Currently too much emphasis is on Changan Alsvin type launches. I am not against discussions of new launches but these are occupying most of the space on PW.
