Bulb gonna last for 1.5 year, and with 35watts it gonna last 2/2.5 year.
Doesn't makes a lot of difference, but lumens will increase with 75w as compare to 35w.

Dont think about only the life of the bulbs. Think about the effects as well...Mini D2S are max rated for 55w. There is a reason for it...if you go over that it will definitely burn/fade away the chrome reflector inside in the long run. OEM projectors in BMW,Audi and Mercs also burns in the long runs only at 35w
Plus OEM Bulbs last longer. I myself have Philips D2S 85122 in my car and its been more than 4 years. Running good as new.

Go for Mini H1s with OEM Denso ballasts. It will not require any cutting etc.I have a brand new kit will give it to you in a reasonable price than TRS. Mini D2S are for H4 headlights. It can be fitted in other headlights as well but it will require little bit of cutting.

Yes the Mini H1 kit i have has OEM Denso ballasts rated at 35w. Its more than enough. I will tell you cost later today INSHA ALLAH.

Well, as far glaring is concerned, if others gonna put glare on me than I got bixenon and morimoto xb 9005 in high.
Imagine that, all I can say is "let there be daylight on the road"

First of all they are not original, secondly you can only install them in projectors or oem housing.

LoL, once I was driving my other car and my brother was driving mine. All he could do was turning it on and off consistently in a 50km journey. I called him and asked "why you doing that?" He was like, face your chaos by my hands.
I was doomed on that day 

Consider this very strongly. Some of the good manufacturers have even stopped sending out 55w ballasts. TRS still does it but usually does not recommend it unless the application is for off road use.

Remember there is a term known as HID blinding used for the driver of the car. The HID light is so bright it causes you to not being able to adjust on anything apart from where the light is like on the far side of the road etc. So consider everything and read about stiff like this if you want to come to an informed decision.

Enough said.
The bulbs I'm using with 75w Ballast are morimoto xb and osram xenarcs.
Both the bulbs need 55w current for their working. They will not take out the 75w from the ballast because they can't do that.
Simple physics bro, what's the rocket science?
I have attached the 75w because aftermarket ballasts are not complete 55w, they are more like 40ish and 75w are not complete 75w they are 60ish.
By attaching 75w aftermarket ballast I will be able to run the bulb at their maximum potential.

Immoresuming after the install when I turn on the high bean both the Mini H1 bulb and my own Hi beam will turn on? Is that true? How much of a difference if I replace my Hi beam bulb with just a TRS 9005 bulb with a locally available ballast (or is a ballast even needed then)?

Yep, both low and high will turn to high when you turn on the high beam.
Installing only a 9005 from trs with local ballast will be much cheaper.
Install osram nightbreakers or philips xtreme vision in low and fog light.
I'm also going for the same setup for my new corolla.
