and if u r thinking of big circuit ...then sir there is no makret yet in pakistan of cars that we need it

making a simple 1000cc vitz prpoer racing car will cost more then swaping h22 in a honda civic

i mean to say....buidling a track is a heavy cost project...and no body can build it before market is set

You need sponsors to make u go though ...and in pakistan even if some 1 want to do a single car show ..no body intersted to give support and we have seen this personally lots of times

i wish we have something like that in pakistan....

YOU have to convince big guns in pakistan big investers ..only then anything can be done

otherwise lots of ppl came and went away with ideas

My answer is Yes we need a Motor Sports Complex in Pakistan with the tendency of holding small level racing to highest level of racing all around the year. But the big problem you have to face is sponsorship, You just can't ask textile companies to sponsor these kind of events we need reall sponsors and nowadays even we can't get decent sponsorship for most popular sports in Pakistan i.e. Cricket. I like the late 80's early 90's when we have tobbacco companies sponsoring different sports including motorsports in Pakistan. On every weekly holiday we have dirt track 2 wheels racing held in Gharo dirt track. Nowadays the biggest sponsors are cellular companies and banks, which could provide some sponsorship but what we really needs is big companies like automobile companies to start sponsoring sports in Pakistan.

Of course it's needed. Also, as indicated in the topic, you'll need banks, shops and all sorts of tourist attraction round the year for the track to be feasible.

It should be used by ordinary or high end cars both.

You'll need to acquire opinion from other sources as well since CDA people can say the PW is just a group of youngsters dying to race, so their vote doesn't count.

Divide the project in different phases including drag strips, oval track (like nascar), touring car track, F1. Also include Rallying in your project. Pl exclude that street racing from the catagories u've mentioned in the thread. Wht is the use of racing complex if u r also supporting street racing :).

Also add Car Auction like thing to the segment u r stating Car Show Space & Showrooms.

@ rozzz, agreed with you, but market has got the potential. just needs to be unleashed. Regarding finding sponsers is not a big deal, wht u say about Djuice Machine Nite (if a co. can organize an event, whts difficult for them to sponser...)

i have thought about it a lot.. once i planned to invest my own money into it.. but a whole complex is a HUGE HUGE investment... Pakistan does not even have a proper Go Kart track. (corect me if i m worng). I was once seriously thinking of making a Go kart track near islamabad. (fateh Jang).

I have a fesibility report of Go kart racing track as well.. the project of Go kart does not Cost that much.. a decent go kart track (with 12 Go kart) cost around 200 thousand dollar. (other than price of LAND). i did some home work on it.. its worth doing but sadly i m short on capital. in pakistan there are very few Family entertainment actitivties. the most you can do is to go bowling .. and that too Islamabad has only Only bowling alley and lahore has 2.. and even they r below average. the one in islo is the worst. In short the point is Pakistan desperatly need things like that. We dont even have a Proper amusement/adventure park.

I think things like these will be frist of kind in Pakistan and will be huge sucess. Ppl need to relax and have fun. if not a whole complex and smal drag strip or a little circuit where ppl can come with there cars and do a lap .. which some reasonable enterance fee.. will be a better idea.. and if that goes well .. u can move forward from there and take it one step up ..!
