I would like to present comparative observations (i.e. my personal observations) of the two imported oils Repsol 4T 20W-50 and Liqui Moly 4T 20W-50.
Repsol costs - 1000 Rs [Consumed 3 bottles already]
Liqui Moly costs - 800 Rs [Using it for over an year now around 6 bottles]
Request from my fellows, please do not discuss the price factor. It always divert the actual path of discussion. There could be other oil brands then these two and cheaper too.
Cold Start:
I found Repsol better.
My bike is 6 yrs old now so almost same cold start for me, slightly better, but definitely for newer engines Repsol would be a better choice.
Clutch:
I found Repsol better.
Observed better / quick acceleration. No clutch slip issue.
Incase of Liqui Moly, clutch slip starts to occur after running of 1800 - 2000kms.
Ride:
Till 1200 - 1500kms running, both oils stays almost same. Afterwards Liqui Moly is a clear champion. I mean I dragged LM for 2500kms but still it kept its character no matter how harsh I went on throttle. Whereas Repsol started to showing the indication of tiredness in longer run say more then 20 kms or during rush hours.
I found LM better in smoothness, vibration free, extreme conditions and longer life.
In the end I would recommend Repsol 20W-50 in summer for zero meter bikes or newer engines. Repsol 10W-40 is also available in Pakistan unlike Liqui Moly.
Thanks for your time.
