Motorcyclists behavior on Lahore Roads

it is said that your driving style shows your nature or it shows how peaceful or aggressive you are.
and it is correct.
so the wrong/ fast/ not obeying laws driving shows how frustrated we are (both, our young generation and men having family). Sometimes I am surprised, rather shocked to see that when I am moving on speed of 60~70kmph on my car, a guy with two females on CD 70 bike crosses the car, and that too without helmet .... :o...and I am always like...WTH....

Along with the frustration our general behavior of "Allah bachanay wala hy/ agr moat aai hay tau koi rok nae skta/ Koi gal nae" is also reason of such reckless driving.
Awareness needs to be created, even educated people don't bother about driving/ bike riding rules.

Summers are here now... and more its hot outside, more would be agitation in awaam' driving, more fights on roads on choti choti baatein, wardens will be more aggressive to public, and public in return would be more hostile... this will continue until people are educated, traffic sense awareness from school levels, and through strong media campaigns etc etc

True. Most motorcyclists are bad road users and an annoying species. But the same can be said about taxi, raksha, bus wagon etc

Now, speaking of taking pleasure while riding, there are some people who take pleasure in riding their bikes. But then there are those who are ready to ruin that pleasure in every way possible.

The amount of haramzadas I face on roads on daily basis is staggering, and it's increasing day by day. There is zero education policy from CTP (City Traffic Police) office, and this means there are only traffic tickets as punishment, being using as a mean to transfer some sense ... Which never works.

People dont use helmet, don't even use freaking side mirrors, openly violate traffic rules (such as staying on your own f*king lane, using indicators while turning, or while changing lanes etc), other than red light, that too when Wardens are right infront of them.

Motorcycle Rickshaws are becoming more morons. This specifically, is going so out of hand that those mofos stop right on the middle of the road to get/drop their fares.

I am really really annoyed by the traffic situation in Lahore theses days. So much that one day, I am definitely going to f*k someone up with a baseball bat or something. Apparently, that's the only way to inject some f*king sense in them. Salay Harami.

No need for such altercation, these people will always remain like this, you are an educated individual and better than them, the best thing is to just ignore them.

This is not only in lahore but in karachi too and most probably in every city...i dont know where has the patience level of people especially motorcyclist gone..they literally like to squeeze their motorcycles with tentacles coming out of sides in teeny tiny places..i try not to give them way to enter from any side

Every single motorcyclist that has bumped into our cars had the same old excuse:"ham g'reeb aadmi hain, jaane dou". That's enough to boil a sane person's blood.

Another thing; if they are too poor to afford a helmet, they shouldn't bother keeping a motorcycle in the first place.

i only have bike for my daily commuting and i agree that bikers are very careless .. you will hardly find 5-10 % who are not a nuisance on roads.

Actually, i'd disagree. I don't 'ignore' (or turn a blind eye) from such stuff happening. Education is needed for these individuals. Since our Traffic Police is doing nothing in particular in this regard, something had to be done.

I can bet that 90 out of 100 bikers have never read traffic laws. Which is why they don't know how to overtake someone properly. They don't know how to turn their bikes with giving proper hand signals, and they definitely don't care if they stop in the middle of the road.

Another thing, if our Government has made Helmet mandatory, so much that they are punishing with traffic tickets if you don't have one, i don't see any reason why freaking Rear View Mirrors aren't included in them.

My mission was not to make another division by motorcyclist and car wallas, just a thought to share so may be someone in early age read it and we make some change, our young generation has potential and energy we need to guide them not label all riders with some harsh tagging as our own young brothers, family members may use motorcycle.

I think if big cities being provided by good public transport 50% of motorcyclists will prefer to go by public transport, even i myself will prefer pub tr on my car if i get a decent service till my office in Lahore.

The situation is getting worse day by day. The most blood boiling times are: 1- when you are on an intersection, you light goes green and bam a bunch of biker passes right in front of you (even though their signal is red) & you can't do anything but honk & wait. This has become sort of norm. 2- there is a two way road and traffic is stuck for some reason, you are waiting in que, and you see rickshaws, bikes (in abundance) and also cars going to front using opposite direction lane (without thinking that it'll further stuck the traffic).

I think its not behaviour on lahore roads.Bikers behavied on all Pakistan roads are same. No driving licence is mandatory for bike driving, also no awareness of traffic.
I my self bike user and see on roads, mostly bikers are wrongly ride. Specially right and left turn and if any other biker crossed him, he disturb and try to crossing again and again. Teenage biker are also major problem.
I read all above mentioned threads, no doubt some fellows says, three or four passengers on bike, Crossing to other biker, mostly not stopping on road signals, these are facts for jamming of traffic and accidents at spots.

I moved to Lahore after living 29 years in Karachi in January 2016. Let me assure you Lahori traffic is still much much better than Karachi traffic. Motorcyclists are not good but they aren't what I would categorize at Karachi level. They still have some consideration left in them and I pray that this lovely city does not go to the dogs like Karachi has. Also I once had the opportunity of driving a motorcycle in Karachi from the central part to DHA area and back. It was a chinese 70, bike was fine. I hadn't ridden this long ever and I realized on that day that anyone who drives a motorcycle won't be able to love the experience, the pollution the noise the heat the dirt this is not pleasurable at all. I thanked Allah for giving me a car and prayed that Allah sab ko iss motorcycle ki waba say jaan churayay. Pleasure ka chalana theek hai bhai par yeh 70 wali path pathian yaan cg125 aur hamari road conditions pleasure ki ijazat nai daytay.
