Dude you have to be kidding me thinking 99% drivers are not from Karachi. How do you fathom the MQM wins the elections in Karachi? Majority of those in Karachi are those who came here during the partition. Looking at those folks all those that were imported to Karachi later on also took on the colors of these very same people who I can call Karachi natives as these guys are now in their 4th generation easily. In motorcycle accidents the victim is usually the motorcycle wala even if the fault was their own.
How many times have you heard motorcycle wala killing a truck wala or bus wala or gari wala? Also most of the deaths are not on heavy bikes they are on these 70's and people don't ride shitty 70s out of passion or love but as a majboori, these folks pretty much have no where to run. In fact if anything you don't want to be involved in an accident with a motorcycle wala, almost always the car wala is blamed and then ganged up on by other motorcycle walas who come to rescue their kin as if it were their sister being raped.
Yes Karachi is multi cultural and yes lot's of people come from elsewhere and have no stake in trying to be good to the city, in the interest of being realistic Karachi still has a majority of natives (mohajirs - I don't consider sindhi's the natives of Karachi even though I am one). Taxes paid or not is another ordeal. Everyone pays taxes on the toothpaste and mobile ka card they buy and what not. Direct taxation is a big problem but really that's a pan pakistan problem not a Karachi problem.
About stake I can say the same for Lahori's as to having no stake in the betterment of Pakistan, so while our crops in sindh suffer and losses occur to the poor because of water shortage. Only a month ago I have come back from my village looking at the water shortage there. I know after living in Lahore why that is so, when people spend endless amounts of water in wasteful abundance here. So everyone is selfish in their own true right!
