Motorway M1 Hilux Accident 24-Mar-2013

Yup these vehicles always travel in the right most lane with very high speeds and motorway police never stop them. A couple of times I also managed to travel between isloo n peshawar in less than one hour by sticking at the tail of these vehicles. First time they were 3 prados and 2nd time 1 prado with two such vigos.
Sticking to their tail saved me from Motorway police otherwise there were many speed guns on that day. 140 to 160 was the avg speed but it was a sunny day.

Now looking at the pics of this hilux I am feeling cold chills in my spine. In sha Allah I will never speed again in future.

I hav read this in the newspaper that LT COL NISAR from the PAK ARMY has died in this accident and his driver was seriously injured,, didnt knew that the hilux hit the pole that bad

hi all... i didnt know this was mentioned here on PW.... i was driving from isb to abbottabad the very same day.. and this hilux ws on the road at the same time... he crossed me twice and i think his speed atleast was 160+.... it was so heavy rain .. and u all know that on motorway even a small drizzle can flip the car over... as i was about to turn towards burhaan, almost 5 km from the back, i saw this car in the middle of the road.... was smashed and was in a horrific condition.... he actually has crossed the side yellow line, and was driving at such a high speed and due to a small colision with the side wall, it devastated ... the inertia and the initial momentum added to the devastating force...

i just hope that we all are careful driving on motorway especially in rains ... or winds ..

Spotted this while travelling on M1 Motorway, Rawalpindi to Peshawar

Place: Few Kilometers before Jalo Burhan Interchage
Dated: 24/03/2013

The Hilux probably collided with Pole, no other vehicle was effected.
It was heavy showers and almost visibility was zero from inside vehicle, people at scene told us that the vehicle was over speeding. No information regarding driver and passengers but there were causalities.
Ambulances and Motorway Police were on scene.

Driver side airbag was deployed, but no passengers were inside vehicle, it was reported that passengers were ejected during crash, how airbag was deployed then???

What exactly happened is not known

Now the whole news is that the driver & the Passenger who was a army Officer are dead.Officer Died at the spot but the Driver was stuck in the car with critical injuries & after One hour he lost his life in C.M.H Peshawer.The driver dead body was not in a Condition to see, by the way his family members were not Allowed to see his dead Body.Every single bone of his body was smashed.When the Vigo Hitted that pole The officer was gone Out of the Windscreen while breaking it and due to Head injury he died at the spot While Passenger was stucked in due to Seat belt

As you can see fire in the vehicle and that time no one was in vehicle, the passenger was lying on the opposite road and drivers was reported fallen down near the green belt.

Sharing my own experience. this Hilux is really hard to control on 110+ specially when it comes to braking. When you press the brake, all of a sudden all the weight shifts to front and the car loses control and slides. Sorry to say but Driving this Daalah at 160+ specially on a rainy day is equal to throwing yourself into the pit of death.
RIP to the victims.

my Auncle(Mamoo) went to attend their Funerals.The people Died in that Accident were Working for I.S.I . both of them are dead one was ejected later from this Vehicle.
