I read on FB Page of NHA that it is opening for light traffic today but not confirmed.

The motorway situation around Multan is very confusing. Multiple motorways have come up but no teal info is aval as to what leads where and points of entry as well as status whether completed or partially open or otherwise. Somebody needs to do some effort in this regard to clear this confusion

According to a Press Release of Ministry of Communications, National Highway Authority, the recently completed 392 KMs long Multan-Sukkur Motorway (M-5) will be opened to light traffic today (September 13, 2019). Consisting of Six (06) lane Multan-Sukkur Motorway is an integral link of CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) that will reduce travelling time between Multan and Sukkur to a considerable extent. M-5 will not only accelerate industrial growth but agricultural sector will also be benefitted at large. The M-5 will pave the way for socio economic uplift in Punjab and
Sindh Provinces.

Reports are that the chinese have blocked the motorway and have asked NHA for some formalities to be completed first before opening. Pretty embarassing situation for NHA

I was greatly dissapoint as on 13 sep whil coming back from naran I was happy to listen the news of ots opening but when I enter the motorway from shah rukn alam interchange few km later ranger blocked the road and asked me and other vehicle to left from shujabad interchange then had to travel jalal pur pirwala taranda rahim.yar khan towards karachi
I totally agree that nothing gonna happen positive in this nalaiq govt
Similarly I travelled to abdul hakim motorway on the same day starting from lahore till abdul hakim and thanks nawaz sharif many time who atleast opened the same without any service area to facilitate people
No.offence but truly admire by punjab roads and infrastructure as being a karachian we do not have average road for daily travel
