Hey @Ishtiaq778 bro, I have noticed my battery after couple of hours of full charge rests at 12.41v while i think it should stay above 12.60 as its new. Any idea what to do or should I discuss with dealer to change or charge the battery?

Also please tell me if this kit (Imran brothers IB4 based on IC105) has auto amps control as battery gets charged, amps get lowered? because i felt following behavior.

1- At night i set amps to 12 amp when battery voltage was 13.71v and still charging (amps wont go more than 12 at that time)

2- today when light resumed after loadshedding ( load was 3 savers only) I noticed amps were 23amp and voltage was 13.23v :o ... so again adjusted amps to 14.5 - 15 amps.

3- after almost 50 minutes, battery voltage was 13.73 and amps were automatically decreased to 8amps.

is 14.5 to 15 amp ok for this battery? (UGS 175)

For UGS 175, Maximum charging ampere limit is 15A. When wapada restores, this kit check the state of battery in three steps. In first step, charging ampere goes upto maximum limit which is set through variable, in second and third step it confirms the ampere requiremnt of battery. In fourth step it starts giving ampere 15. If battery cut of volts are set at 14.20 then it gives these 15 amperes up to 13.8 to 14v, Then it shifts to 2nd stage charging which is 8 amperes and continue charging up to 14V. then third stage starts of 3 to 4 ampere which gives charging untill battery full.

Fully charged battery stays 12.30 to 12.6V. Between this its quite normal and ok. No need to worry about that.

Your UPS should never exceed 15A. Then your battery will cut off the charging at 14.2. If you increase charging amps, then, battery Full cut of point increases also.

Thank you very much dear. So it all boils down to the fact that this kit auto adjusts amps as battery gets charged it decreases amps.. also for 12.4-12.6v resting voltage is ok as you said, is relief

How ever after adjusting amps to 15 and checking next day as soon as wapda resumed, it was giving 14.6 - 15 amps @13.22v and after 50 minutes almost 8-9 amps @13.8v ... so i think its now on optimum settings.

(btw changing battery full cutoff also changes amps. i saw this while adjusting cutoff ...its also ok)

And last but not least... can i run my witribe deskto modem and laptop charger on this ups or it will get damaged?

You r welcome dear, adjust out put volt 250 and there will be no problem of burning electrical alliances.

Current output volts are 270v without load. I will adjust to 250 tomorrow. Hoping this battery lasts more than 3 seasons
Will change electrolyte after 2 years In sha Allah ...

Hey bro @ishtiaq778, its happening as I expected. After many charge/discharge cycles in these couple of days, today there is no loadshedding since 2:30pm till no and battery is resting @12.60 v .... which is what i wanted and its ideal situation for me...

sharing my own experience.
After a long study on different forums I bought AGS 175 Ah.
Even I maintained electrolyte of 1250 gravity and check its level every 2-3 weeks but just after two months backup suddenly reduces to 30min~15min~5min~ Battery swell and died . And It was neither overcharged because I have inverter not UPS.
Then I purchased Bridge Power 185Ah and now its working like a charm from one year mashahAllah.

I hear AGS quality is not so good as it was used to be 2-3 years back but didn't knew it was so bad... Inverters also do over charge overcharging is not only related to ups. swelling of battery means battery has been overcharged.
