Constructive critisisum is always helpful. I intend this vehicle to be a daily driver, medium offroading, and family long trips. What and what I should not do? As much as I am keen on the original mechanics, I need to focus on reliability.

@Sarmad Thanks for the post on your MOCK Thread. Based on the pictures of the tires I was noticing that there is very little clerance on the fenders, does your tires end up touching the fenders during bumps.

Arsalan, No the michellins do not touch up on the fenders in offroading, but on a hard surface, like climbing a divider or footpath, they just brush up against if its done fast. Slow and steady keeps the clearance.

I mostly drive the petrol one while my cousin uses the diesel one, even as a daily driver.

Nice project man.

But tell me one thing? U have changed the engine brakes and clutch, and U say no more Mods.
I wud like to know wot else harm U can do to a Clasic?

U have prety much changed its heart; the engine.

It seems to be a nice project.

There are always two kinds of re-built,

1-Restoration as per original factory specs

2-Re-build, enhance and modify as per usage, looks etc.

Purists always critisize the modifications in a classic and the others justify the modifications. In the end it is the decision and choice of the owner. I personally think that if you are re-building it as a daily driver then the emphasis should be on brakes, engine - gear ratio matching and engine/drive train noise.

You should get opinion on how 3C engine goes with the original transmission. Is it easy on engine or you high engine RPMs required to get decent speed on city roads. It is an important factor because if not matching, the engine noise will be too much and you will not be easy and comfortable driving in city.

From where you are getting the adaptor made for coupling engine and transmission?

I hope so.

I am spreading over 2 years the investment required to enhance this vehicle reliability i.e. parts replacement and changes. So I treat it as an investment expense rather than maintenance.

Also I treat this project as an asset. So money spent is money saved :-).

My alternate investment option for the budgeted price is an Alto or Mehran, but economically I don't drive any utility from it.

Not much progress has been made. Only Chamber mods for the 3CT. Expecting install in the engine bay by this weekend. Will post pics upon a mjor milestone, as not much progress.

Original Running engine (No Carb, New Cables & Spark Plugs, it is giving blow so maybe requiring overhaul)

Original 2 front seats without upholstery
M835 "Jangla" with 2 Side folding Seats
Original Rear Lights
Original Front and Rear Bumpers
Original Hood
Original Windshield with Frame
Original Fuel tank

Will post pictures soon. All of the items are in reasonable condition except otherwise mentioned. If interested make me an offer.
