Just reach Lahore safely. It was a wonderful experience to travel and explore lovely mountains of AJK and specially Nelum Valley.
Planning, food, 4x4s, terrains, members, atmosphere, hotels, etc…. all very perfect and professionally handled by Team MJC.
We are very thankful to Team MJC for all their hospitalities and cooperation’s during the trip and especially in our breakage recovery.
Would love to travel again in your areas and with Team MJC in future as well. Tks for inviting us and it was a perfect trip which was not to be missed.

Dear All,

BY the grace of Allah, MJC have had done its Snow Cross 2013 towards Neelum Valley successfully. The event is a Joint venture of AJK Tourism Department, Valley Trackers and Muzaffarabad Jeep Club. This time friends from Lahore 4x4 Mean club also join us in their SJ-410.
It was two days event starting on 9th of Feb. We depart from Muzaffarabad PC Hotel at 10 AM with the convoy of 11 4x4 Vehicles towards Sharda. The convoy moved towards Karen along with Neelum River and arrived Karen at 1400 HRS. Then we checked in Tourist Motel and wait for the lunch to be served. After having our lunch we came to know by the authorities that the road to Sharda is closed at some places due to land slide and PWD department's machinery is doing its work. So we decided to have a little offroading in sand and stones bed of Neelum river. In the evening we have had tea with Kashmiri Kulchas and soon after the sun set the BBQ and Bonfire starts. Director AJK Tourism Irshad Ahmed Pirzada was also present in Karen and we have lots of chit chat with him regarding the future planes. After the BBQ every one gets in the rooms as temperature drops below 0C.
Next day we get up early at 7 Am and have breakfast at 8 AM. Due to clear sky in the night the road has a layer of frost on it due to which all the drivers drive their vehicles with extra care as we have Neelum River at one side and cliffs on the other side of the road. Media gave us coverage through out the event. The convoy arrive Sharda at 1200 HRS. Then we put on the chains on tyres and play on the sandy bed of river Neelum which was covered with 3-4 feet snow.
At 1600 HRS we have closing ceremony in which Director AJK Tourism gave certificates to all the members and participants of the event. 1730 HRS we start moving back towards Karen where we have a dinner and from Karen we start moving towards Muzaffarabad at 2000HRS.
Lots of pics and videos were taken. Special thanks to AJK Tourism Department, Valley Trackers & Kashmir Travel Service for putting their hand to promote such types of activities in the region. Thanks to 4x4 Mean club Fouad Dar, Dr. Tahir & Arslan Sheikh for coming all the way from Lahore to attend the event.
Special thanks to our lovely brother Yasir Nisar who came with his two best budies Yousaf Fayaz and Younis (youni) Khan who cover the entire event with their best cameras. Thanks to media AAJ TV ( Imtiaz sb) , Geo TV, PTV and Samma TV for covering the event.
