It was an honor for Muzaffarabad Jeep Club(MJC) to participate in 1st Commissioner Hazara Snow Cross 2011 Nathia Gali. Actually it was a result of Snow Cross on 5th & 6th Feb. 2011 which was a joint venture of Islamabad Jeep Club, Muzaffarabad Jeep Club, Pakistan Land Rover Club & Off-Road Adventure Unlimited. GEO TV gave coverage to Snow Cross 2011 in Nathia Gali which was later seen by Commissioner Hazara on TV and he called GEO reporter Ibrar Rasheed and asked the detail of that Snow Cross. The Commissioner was very impressed by the joint venture of all clubs and as a result the Commissioner of Hazara Mr. Sahibzada Muhammad Anees invites all the clubs once again in Nathia Gali for distribution of Shields among Clubs to encourage them for conducting such type of activities in the region. The DIG, DCO & SSP Hazara were also there to appreciate us.
On Sunday 27.02.2011 we Muzaffarabad Jeep Club(MJC) depart for Nathia Gali on two vehicles i.e Suzuki Jeep & CJ-7 along with 6 members. Our senior member Mr. Ghulam Mustafa was also on board this time. The plan was to participate in First Commissioner Hazara Snow Cross in Nathia Gali. We depart @ 9:00 A.M after having confirmation from Amir Malik President Islamabad Jeep Club that we take the route via Murree. The plan was to join IJC at Kuldana @ 11:00 A.M but due to heavy rain fall during the last week the road condition was very bad and after crossing Phagwari there was snow on the road and some cars were blocking our way as road was very narrow and they are not allowing us to overtake them. Any way around 11:30 we reached Kuldana but there was no sign of IJC, I called Amir bahi to check their location and he told me they are on the way to Nathia Gali as there was snow on the road so they decided to move. He told me that we will keep moving and join them before Nathia Gali.
Again we start our second phase of journey towards Nathia Gali, and around 12:30 we found IJC vehicles trying to overcome a steep slope without snow chains. There we meet IJC team and starts moving ahead. On the way we saw lots monkeys searching for food stuff. Asad bahi’s drifting was superb throughout the way and he is the one who enjoys 100% snow cross this time

Then we reached Nathia Gali @ 2:30 where members from Abbottabad also join us and we gathered at Hotel Elite where commissioner Hazara arranged a get-to-gather for all clubs. Presidents of all clubs gave a brief introduction of their clubs and their activities. At the end the Commissioner Hazara made his speech in which he appreciate all the clubs for coming to Nathia Gali on very short notice and participate in the event. The Commissioner also announced that next year Inshallah this snow cross will be taken at Government level to promote tourism & peace in the region. Different suggestions regarding tracks for off-roading were also given to commissioner by the club members specially by President PLRC Mr. Abbasi Sb & Geo reporter Mr.Ibrar Rasheed.
At the end The Commissioner Hazara distributes Shields among the Representatives of all the Clubs. IJC and PLRC gave their souvenir to the Commissioner & Mr. Ibrar Rasheed. A lavish Lunch was served to all the participants at the end of the ceremony. Group photo was made with all the participants & we left Nathia Gali for our homes @ 4:30.
