3rz wasnt in my mind..but the 1rz and 2rz..parts r available and they'd be gud on fuel too..we do have a 2rz surf with us givin 10km/l in city..plus the parst r available.. and about the chassy part...this engine is not a heavy one..there r a few swap corolla and celicas with 3rz...actually i dont like high reving noisy engine like the 4age..still i know it's an ideal swap..but dunno..i don't like it much..dunno i might go for the 3s or the 4s even..but havent thought of any swap yet...
m enjoyin the 4k..so will think of an engine swap after a year or so..

parts is not an issue for me here...m doin a 1uzfe makrII project these days..will be doin its testin in a weeks time or so..so pray for me

they r not celica rims..carina gt rims infact

Plus I totally agree with Storm that bringing these beauties back to life is far productive than spending loads on hideous bumpers and dryer spoilers and pathan lights.

IMHO keep your everyday ride stock, and restore an older beauty for the weekends. I've seen people spending a couple of hundred thousands on cultuses(or cultusi - don't know what the plural of cultus is) ..the same money well spent on an older car would get you a bigger head-turner, more attention and better appreciation. Plus you're adding beauty to the environment - you surely are not with those hideous bumpers and chromegrills.

Truly a rare car, saw one in golden color. We had 82. I still have original brouchers for corolla 81 lying somewhere and i show this variant. Even i u swap the engine dont exchange the original for a few bucks, a thing u will repent one day. Muffler is courtsey of cruel1, the one i was after. I am a 2 door fan by default. Enjoy the ride, indeed a keeper

no..these r not celica rims..celica rims came in same design but were kinda deep from the centre and were 14"...and m lookin for these 14" around..but cant find any...mine's r 15" and carina gt rims

Hmmmm. U might me right salman_m5. The Carina rims do seem to have a less positive offset as compared to the Celica rims. I have seen these 14" Celica rims on an 80's Rolla on the old road to Murree at a gas station many times. U might wanna talk to the guy and see if U can strike a deal. I will keep a look out for those here in Lahore.

I believe UR decision to go for the Celica rims is right bro. Those would look much better on UR ride. The positive offset and smaller size would be better not only for the looks, but also for stock "feel" of the car.
