SRS malfunction could be the seatbelt buckle related. My coworker has a 09, E550 and had this sign few weeks ago. He went to dealer to replace the seat belt assembly under warranty.As the SRS is digitally connected with your seat belt. Belt assembly replaced and ECU cleared. I am not expert but maybe a small sensor not responding.

Probably the seat belt buckle isn't ok. Its reading selt belt buckled while the occupant sensors are negative. Thats why the SRS is temporarily disabled in your vehicle unless the sensor readings are in harmony.

Get it checked, SRS can prove fatal.

I mean if misused. Like bypassing the seat belt alarm with a separate buckle without you being actually buckled in. Gosh I wrote this like the 5th time in 2 days!
