[Reality]

Back in early 90's Japs Alto 660 cc cars were introduced in Pakistan as Taxis. I know people who still drive the car n after a passage of nealry 15 years they have all the praise for its performance 1) confortwise (Ac included) 2)durability 3)no rattling noises etc etc. U can ask any taxi driver about it. I knew one taxi driver n karachi who has been driving it since 1992 and he got the engine overhauled after 10 years of rigorous commercial service on tough karachi roads.
But i would still suggest to plz support our local Revo as well. It is passing thru teething problems but it will get thru if it has our support.

Almost all car manufacturers make 660cc cars in Japan, these are good cars, I do remember once I travelled in a 660 alto(the taxi) that cam under prime-minister scheme in 1993, the car had alot atleast 100 times better ride then that of mehran.

I have driven 82 kms. The fuel needle is still there. The A/c works well in all conditions. No strain on the engine.

I need a sticker "Automatic" with similiar font as ALTO written on the back of the car. Will Sultan da khoo a good place.

Second, I would love to install a foot rest. Can it be installed now and how?

you're right about the smoothness. i myself have sat in one of those cabs. one can straightaway make the difference. i was just curious about the A/C but Hasnain saab's answered it.

As for the logo, why not get the word made? there's a very good shop in Aabpaara for all sorts of stuff. forgotten the name but quite famous for number and name plates.

as for the foot rest, my sugestion is the Sultan place because i myself am on the look for one for my Corolla and havent been successful in these Isb/Pindi markets yet.

go to samad brothers. ask zahid samad to make stickers for car. rather than puttings logos and fearing them to be snatched by some JAHAAZ better have fine stickers

@ Agha. Ya I know Samad brothers. Margallian, our member as well. Zahid. I always do the number plate work from there. Even today I was there for this Alto's plate. Mudasir, the ustaad has made it for me. I will ask him about the sticker possibility perhaps in a day or two.

yaar for your foot rest , you can buy it from any motorcycle parts wala, a set of 70's footrests for 50 rupees
