Being in the middle east means you need to take 5 times more care of the car's paint job and i see that you are doing it well. Thumbs up (Y) It is indeed very aggressive looking specially from the front and the best value for money in its category...

A few years back, when I was searching for the 5 series in the market, I came across a model with 200k already on the clock, but the engine started like a champ.

I was so shocked that the owner got offended, and refused to entertain my offer [emoji12] [emoji12]. Ofcourse I was much naive about Germans at that time. [emoji20]

German cars are designed for a much higher performance, and never fail to put a smile on ones face. [emoji4] Even after owning it for so many years, I feel nice to look at my car after a wash. That moment makes up for the effort. Alhamdullilah!

Ofcourse one needs to maintain it accordingly, be it Middle East or elsewhere, but agreed it gets much tougher in the sun here. I make sure to stay on top of usual stuff, and thats about it.

The thing about high mileage is that its just a number with regular care and maintainance. Without care, even new-ish cars can bring trouble.

It has great pulling force, but the soundtrack comes tuned down from the factory, as it is supposed to be a sporty family saloon. Still miles better than a 4 cylinder.

I wish to own a 10 cylinder E60 M5 or a 8 cyl 550i one day, if I can get my hands on a nicely kept model. Now that is a serious muscle car with 4 doors.

I am looking at a muffler delete, and wondering if this gets too loud for an everyday car...
As a mod, it is not too expensive...

Finally, I decided to start a separate thread for my Bimmer. I have had this car for a while now, and covered about 60,000 km of pure joy in last 3 years or so.

I did washing, drying session yesterday. Here are some pictures.

Nice to see another E60 owner in the forum, by the way is your model LCI or pre-LCI. 530 is the best trim for E60 in my opinion, as there is ample amount of torque through out the rev range and you don't feel that the car is not pulling. Of course M5 is a whole different animal all together.

Just few suggestion but first please change the rims, I always hated these 17inch alloys, they just kill the whole personality of the car. Go for 18 inch M-alloys or better if you don't mind 19inch, they really makes E60 look sexy as hell.
Also install a M body kit for E60, if you can that will do wonders for this car. I can assure you, if you take care of this car, this car will be a pleasure to drive. The only big problem I am aware for this model is "Failure of Active Steering", so far thankfully my E60 is not suffering from this, but that is something to keep in mind.

The handling and pull is amazing in the straight six. Plus, I can do a lot of fun maneuvres in it. I looked into getting M-kit, but being in Middle East, its not easy to source it here.

Pre LCI isn't that bad as well, although newer engine and transmission is just a bit better compared to pre LCI models. I have M-series 18 inch 245 40 18 for both front and back and my car handles corner like a champ. Usually cars with staggered wheel configurations don't handle well when cornering, so if you wish to handle corners better than tuning the suspension and moving to non staggered setup should resolve the issues for you. By the way I got Pirelli P ZERO on, the tires are just amazing in both wet and dry conditions.

I am based in Malaysia, finding car kits for most of the brands is not that difficult here, plus there are lot of different options available as well.

The M54 engine is one of the best straight six BMW produced. Infact, multiple award winning at that. Reason being simple, reliable and lots of power.

I have a e60 with a 3 ltr + M kit ( pretty rare in Pakistan) + alot of hacks / software mods etc Im going for muffler delete in a few days ( waiting for my tips ) should be fun!!

I just did the exhaust delete today - as much as I like the sound but its waaaaay to loud for my liking have to reset with alternatives to make the sound less.
