My brand new Suzuki GS150 (2014 model)

Suzuki GS 150 users please shed some information.
Need to know that does Suzuki GS 150 require any running period during the first 1k km. My cousin told me that when he bought GS the mechanic at Suzuki told him that no running is required and jitna speed lagane hai lagao. Should I keep driving at low pace till 1k km ya mandna shuru kar do???

Bro speed mai b marta tha but jaisay hi 80 km/h pay ata tha tow speed drop kardeta tha speed maro but sometimes kyun kay agar speed ni maro *** tow bike adi hojaye gi slow speed ki aur phr ghot ghot kay chalay gi.

nahi me break in period me shayed 1 ya do dafa hi GD ko 70 se above le gaya wo bhi seconds ke liye.. then i drop throttle.. lekin meri GD ab bhi behtreen speed pe jati hai...

Yar the bottom line is that the engineers who have designed the engine are not stupid and illiterate
Agar wo ap ko manual may bta rhay hay k first 1000 ya 1200Km tak bike ko braek in karna hay to man lo na yar
Do you seriously think that these jahil mechanics jin ko enineering ka aik lafaz tak nai ata kia wo engine ko un engineers say behtar jantay hay jinho nay engine ko bnaya hay
Mairi is baat ko apnay cousin ko batao
Layman k liay is say behtar or koi explanation nai hay

The point is that your bike is your property and you can do anything you want to it

Thanks for the information guys. This means I will keep my bike in running process just like I was doing it.i got a little jazbati so I touched 80 but then quickly dropped to 40-50 which I think is ok.

So I calculated my bike's fuel economy and here are the results.

I filled the tank of 800rs petrol.
1 litre costs 113 rs. This means 800/113=7.07 litres came in the tank.

The reading on the odometer was exactly 166.6 km when the petrol finished in the reserve tank .
So 166.6km/7.07 litres=23.6 km/l.

Defitinely get it checked after the 300km mark. The mixture must be too rich

its in the running period so don't worry about the average. my bike used to give me 30 km in a litre and I used to ride on 50. running is must and try to do it. it will be good for the life on the engine. once you will get it tuned the average will be fine. my brother is getting above 40 on his gs euro 2 and I am happy with 38-40 km/l on my gs. but avoid over speeding and pillion riding. and be safe

change the oil at 300 kms and complete the running till 1k. then do whatever you want to do with it :D. are you using the stock rear tire?
