Salam and Eid mubarak
I have recently changed my engine oil in vario and as suggested used 3.7 litres, but its a bit down to the max mark. the guy at Caltex F-6 insisted me to pour 4 litres, but I stayed with 3.7, should I add 300ml more oil, as it is a bit down to the mark.

Can someone tell me what is the function of this button..... shift lock in altis and while we driving altis downhill can we frequently change between L.. 2...3 D so as to maximize engine control rather than using brakes too often

Shift lock locks the tranny as you cannot shift into any gear without pressing that button, and coming downhill its best to stay in L and if a straight path comes upshift and then again downshift.
I hope this helps.

You are welcome and Yes I believe you can shift like that but only when needed, for city driving use D.
