motorway police only knows how to check high speed on a car, there efficiency ends there.
basic safety principles are neither followed not given to travellers on motorway.

They dont check working of tail lights.
tires
basic lane changing violations.
Fences.
Stray dogs.
Dead animals on road.
illegal road crossers.
etc etc.

It seems easy to drive a car on a straight road but actually its not, people used to driving at 80km/ h beleive the car will behave same at 120-130km/h but the whole theory of driving changes once you are above 100km/h.

Motorway police should distribute pamphlets and brochores and create awareness among people on how to safely use the road.

Sorry for your loss, but our faith tells us not to worry as these small incidents protect you from some big loss, maybe your car was about to roll over in next 1 min due to open tie rod or a tire burst but you were saved by the cow.

Have faith and if i were you I would write to DG motorway and ask for compensation as people pay a heavy toll on the use of the roads. Such incidents should be looked after by them as the animal on the motorway is completely un-acceptable. Attach the police report and CC the complaint to NHA and other departments.

No offenes to pathan friends but none of the low life(s) in KPK leave a piece of metal anywhere which they can sell to kabaris.

brother, i visited Peshawar abt 6 months ago, i was amazed to see kids sitting on motorway edges abt 15km away from Peshawar, in parking zone of motorway:o:o
also our brilliant awam in that part of the country have stolen the protective part ie fences, there are patches on unprotected motorway for Kms and Kms so what can the motorway police do in this case???..

Also a patch abt 25-30 Km before Peshawar has been repaired like S**** by NHA again but you definately feel a big bump on 80Km/hr and your head surely touches the car roof due to that bump even on 110Km/hr, quite dangerous too.

Bad crash buddy. Thanks to Allah you and your family is safe. As i also told you one week ago my friend on his Belta had same kind of accident on peshawar motorway.

A pig came running in from no where, He was at 120 when he tried to avoid the pig and car rolled over many times. He was safe along with other 4 passengers. But now he is having back pains.

So Guys be careful on this motorway.

I think you should go for complete restoration.

i regularly recite safar ki dua and i even have it hanging by rear view mirror ! but at wapasi i forgot dont know why but i regret it ! was planing to meet u too but shortage of time

lol im glad i ddint heard that mooo ! when the cow hit the front end the bonnet bend and cow came on bonnet ! u can see the big elevation on the hood ! thats of cow body ! and when the hood got bend the main sharp frames were exposed which slit the belly of cow and she died on the spot ! there was alot of blood and her poop on the road ! yes i will give sadqa ! this is the forth time i came out scratch less from a major accident MASHALLAH ! ALL THANKS TO ALLAH

ur last point is the main point i forgot ! the thing is here in KPK the ignorant people are ignorant ! and in punjab the ignorant people act like educated !
as for the complaints currently i dont have a car as mine is in workshop and if u know about KP then u would also know that people here dont respond to phone calls or letters or complaints ! u have to go there and even after that nothing will happen ! i also switched some connections in motorway police and FIA but the answer from motorway police officers was that we are looking for the owner of the cow ! but my brother told me to leave it as it is u are safe thats all ! and honestly i dont have dil ka zor to run after them as i have loads of work to do now ! i would avoid M1 in future !

Regarding complete restoration, then its upto you.
If the car needs denting and painting work done then get it done along with the repairs.
BTW you towed the car with your friend's car or did the recovery truck towed it?

vey sad incident, u did wt was right at that time. Hitting cow straight was right decision rather than steering left right to save yourself at that speed. I will definitely would have done that, otherwise car would have rolled over.
Beside give sadqa as told by fellows, so that it should nt happen 5th time (ups..)
I myself saw cow on motorway and then stopped at the phone booth(one with solar panel) to tell motorway police.
Motorway police are very helpful. But onething for sure protecting fence alongside of motor is not possible until our people get educated.
