I think it depends on your driving style, Just as an example, during the time i owned the CT200h, It felt so sluggish when i drove it normally and it gave a fuel consumption of around 6 liter/100km but my driving style always pushed the car in the Non EV mode and then the consumption was pushed to around 7.5 liter/100km because i couldn't just drive that car like a bull cart. My Honda civic RS gives me an Economy of 5.9 to 6 liter/100km and its not sluggish at all even in Eco mode, so for me there was no point in keping a Hybrid. But having said that the Lexus was a 2011 and the Hybrid technology has advanced considerably over the years and this new camry drives much much better than the CT200h. So yeah your point is very valid to some extent but i have seen people selling their used non-hybrid Camry quickly and at a better price then the Hybrid one's so resale can be another factor. That's just my observation though...

sluggish in comparison to what? i had a gen 2 prius, i drove it around normally, usually gunned it off traffic lights, the torque was immense, and it returned 5l/100km.
Hybrids work a certain way and require a slight amount of getting used to, but have never heard anyone call it sluggish before

Sluggish as compared to any non Hybrid car i have driven, most of of the cars i had were 2.4lit and above at the time, Sluggish specially from a stop start for the first few seconds where you fell like that's it, i can't take it any more and i have to really press it to get it going. As i said depends on your driving style

But the moment you change the Drive mode to Sports and it went and handled like a go kart. Plus there is a fuel economy difference between Prius and CT200h despite having a lot in common.

i haven't driven a ct200 so i can't say, but never felt anything of the sort in a prius.
Now comparing it to a 2.4, ofcourse its slower, but the torque due the electric motor always gave it a kick.
did you use to drive at a very light throttle as to not let it switch to petrol? Because in that, it is slow

I wouldn't say a light throttle but I really had to push it hard to make it understand that its time to go mate also took it to Melbourne city Lexus but everything was checked and all ok was the verdict. This Camry Hybrid is really good but again a different car different engine..

Hi Pakwheelers, thinking of replacing the Black Camry with some other car as both the Black and white are the same varient, need suggestion which of the following options to go for:
1. Toyota Camry 2019 SL (top off the line), non hybrid, comes with features like panoramic roof, heated leather seats, blind spot indication, LED front and rear lights, different Front Grill and rear bumper, quart exhaust and much more.
2. 2016 Honda Accord Sports Hybrid, less than 10k km driven, like new, have all the features like heated leather seats, sunroof, blind spot camera in addition to reversing camera and sensors
3. Brand new Toyota corolla ZR Sedan (Top of the line).
4. Honda CRV 2019 AWD, 7 seater, 1.5 Turbo, comes with all the features like Panoramic roof, leather seats etc.
5. 2018 Toyota Kluger, less than 50k km driven, GXL 8 speed Auto, V6 3.5 lit.

All very different from each other, will be mostly used as a daily.

Yes mate, I did, got delivered on 19th Jan, probably won't cost me anything in case I go for any of thoes 5 options. The white one is also just 8k km driven so don't need 2 of them. Change of plans..

Bro since it's going to be a daily driver and if you don't have any off road usage then I would suggest the Accord, Corolla or CR-V.
Toyota Kluger is a SUV and you won't find the same level of comfort in it.
Camry you already have.

Yeah, I sort of agree with you on the Kluger, mostly will be driving on Urban roads and I don't really need a 7 seater, plus heavy on fuel as compared to the other options.
The Camry i have are hybrids the SL will be non hybrid with bucket loads of extra features but yes it will be the same car in principle.
The corolla ZR is a beautiful car, very appealing, but just wondering if a Corolla is worth $35k Price tag...
It leaves me with the 2 hondas which I have a history to be very biased towards, that's why thought I will put the question out here
