lol. there's no need.. i made a few videos - unfortunately none from a standstill but they will give an idea of the rpms... it's pretty impressive.
and all the videos were made with a/c at full blast

i've seen the video with caption fully floored there is a delay after shift which shouldn't be unless u took the foot off .. try keeping it floored till u reach 100kmph ... in case delay was from auto gear u can reduce by just let foot off for split second and then putting it back on .. you'll know in time what i'm talking about

my real question is .... do u think this car is under powered being auto-transmission ? .. my answer is NO with the aero dynamics and stability, the power it has got is more than it can handle

Yes unfortunately I had to let my foot off (just had a look at it and I gave it the wrong caption :p) , when there's a lag, it's due to me chickening out or a car coming in the fast lane.
These were not good videos, I shall make better ones tomorrow or the day after on the ring road with full flooring.
I think the auto has a better handling than the manual - maybe it's because I don't drive the manual like a normal person.

And it doesn't feel underpowered at all-atleast till a speed of 100 km/hr. I drove a belta ( the current model we see everyday) in islamabad and it felt extremely laggy in the speeds of 60-80 km/hr and kinda unstable.
And yes, I understand by what you mean by taking the foot off and then flooring it... I have this problem while driving the '13 Civic prosmatec on slopes on the motorway between kalar kahar and islamabad.

whatever your experiences my request would be to update your main post (when ur done assessing the car) with ur candid views, like my view is :

its better than vitz 1300 in comfort, noise, interior design and power but lags behind in stability, fuel economy and various taxes (being above 1300c) ... still i'd prefer swift over vitz

Yes, I will do that. I shall make a proper video and tag you in it in a few days .

So far, it has done 41 kms and emptying the tank will take a while . I shall tag you when I've an update on the first fuel mileage.

Arent the rpms are bit high for this speed is the car going in 4thgear because according to my limited knowledge manual swift does 120kmph at this rpm sorry if i m wrong.

Yes. I guess they are,let me do a re test. I shall post another set of videos with full throttle on an empty road like the ring road.

Okay so basically you want me to floor it in low gear, then in 2 and then in 3?
I can do that.
Once the max rpms are reached on 3, I shall shift it to D.

yes, i had to find the perfect road for this stupidity. i couldn't make a good one last night as there was no suitable place to floor it.

i braked before time and had a passenger hold the camera phone while i concentrated on driving.

Some queries :

registration for 44,000 ??? I got my Honda City 1.3ltr Reg for 66,000 from Islamabad !

Also the advance tax on 1000-1300 cc vehicles at the time of booking is 30,000 for filers and 40,000 for non-filers isn't ?

Bro you were right.
We have been asked to pay 13,000 extra for the registration.
So now the total cost of registration for the swift is 53,000
