Gli is a donkey because of power to weight ratio it has a small engine with a huge body which results in poor performance of the car. So both xli and gli is a donkey. The other variants specially 1.8 has very good drive.

I don't want a quarter mile race but the fuel consumption of 1.3 is poor compared to 1.6 and the price difference is not big between 1.3 and 1.6. A person who can spend 19 lack on gli he or she can spend 2 lack extra to get 1.6 version. I think people can afford that

i guess one spends according to his budget, and xli, gli are the best brand new vehicles in its class one can buy in Pakistan for the price. and the performance isn't bad for a family sedan. the acceleration for normal use is good enough or one can rev a lil higher. it can easily cruise above speed limits in top gear. we don't have autobahn or American highways where merging in requires you to floor ur 150hp car.

One who can afford a two million rs car, tokens and taxes are not big thing. Plus if you are tax payer (filer) you can get back (refund) the money in next tax year. After all people are paying 180,000 own on a 1.3 car.

اس سوال کا ایک فوری جواب ذہن میں یہ آسکتا ہے کہ انڈس موٹرز کے ماہرین کے دماغ موٹے ہیں جنھوں نے یہ کار نہ صرف ڈیزاین کی بلکہ اس کو بیچ بھی رہے ہیں اور ان کو اتنا بھی خیال نہیں آیا کہ آٹو انجینیرنگ میں انھوں نے یہ جو جھک ماری ہے اس سے ان کی عالمی سطح پر کتنی بے عزتی ہو گی جب پاکستان کے لوگ ہاتھ دھو کر اس تیرہ سو سی سی کار کو اتنا مہنگا ہونے کے باوجود چھ چھ ماہ کے انتظار کے باوجود
خرید لیں گے اور تو اور کچھ بے صبرے تو ایسے بھی نکل آئیں گے جو ڈیڑھ دو لاکھ اون بھی دینے پر تیار ہو جاہیں گے
چند ذہین افراد کو چھوڑ کر ان باقی سب لوگوں کو دوبارہ اسکول میں داخلہ لے لینا چاہیے

Agree. Everyone has his/her own peculiar budget situation and spending priorities. But nobody buys Altis for fuel consumption or resale or with worries for annual token tax and WHT, but to enjoy some more power and features.

I agree that they should offer transmissions with more gear ratios but we shouldn't bash current models for that. the fuel economy of current models with 4 speed autos is still better than 5 speeds offered by competition, the ratios are really suited for economy and mixed mode driving. the first two ratios offer quick acceleration off the line while the 3rd kicks in as soon as u start to cruise at city speeds and 4th at highway speeds. the low end torque allows up-shifting as soon as u ease up the throttle(talking about the 1.6 I've).

This 4speed auto is still better than 5speed auto offered by sluggish city
