It looks very minimalistic just like an OEM HUD. Any idea whether it would work with a 2006 Baleno??
It will work in any OBD2 compliant car.
The one that I had was probably broken then. It didn't work in multiple cars.
so i asked around couple of installersboth of them said it can be installed and will cost 3.5k for camera, wiring and installationone of them was JDM expert which even offered to install this at my place and other was Entertainment On Wheels
Great. You just need a new camera with wiring which comes with the camera. You can check tracking world as well.
tracking world quoted 7k for this but they are currently short in cameras and wiring
you can also buy locally from DARAZ.pk without the hazel of customs duty. Postage charges are also less. Payment is on delivery.
I checked daraz and didn't order from there because1. All huds are very expensive there2. Daraz never delivers on time3. Lesser variety4. Very less feedbacks
how did you manage to hide the cable... any photos? also you can place another non HUD, OBD device behind cupholders and it would look factory fitted
camera lgwao to details share krna. and installation krte time ki pics bhi
Just bought this HUD from AliExpress (costs me around 2900/- PKR ) couple of months ago for my City'17. Working fine with more information like consumption, Engine Temperature, Over Speed Alarm, Fatigue Alarm, RPM, Voltage
Wow, it's certainly better then the one I have. Please share the linkHow's the rpm reading? Is it seamless or laggy?I have over speed alarm , temperature and voltage but no rpm reading. Plus, this is colorful and looks more cool. Why did you place it so far away? It should be in view of your linear sight .Plus, are you using reflective film?
Yes, I took it like this:
Plug in the obd portRemove the plastic compartment under the steeringPass the wireRescrew itOpen door side plastic and rubberHide the wire and close itLeave enough wire outside for obd device to plug in comfortablyOnly 2 inch wire would show which would get hidden behind the device
Can you please share price and customs duty. It will help us to decide where to buy.
I think your one is better because to much colors and readings in direct line of sight can cause distraction.
Exactly, I also think Bilal Bhai one's is better as it's minimalistic. I have the other one but it's too colourful and causes distraction.
Looking good for sure. But is buying an HUD worth money? We have a speedometer and tachometer just in front of our eyes (one can adjust Steering too to get a better view) which also shows fuel average. Placing another info meter on the screen, that too colorful, is mere a distraction in my opinion.
It was around 13 dollars and I did not pay any duty. Arrival time was around 15 days
If you place it strategically you won't have to look down on your speedometer. No distraction whatsoever , that's why it's named as head up display: keep your head up, do not look down. I can assure you it serves the purpose perfectly. This proves it to be a safer and less distractive option then the original speedometer.
That's why I ordered this one. It was cheap and just displayed speed and that's what I wanted. But, colorful one does look cool I reckon
