This sounds great. I will look into both used imported ones and Sportage ones in Pak and see which is cheaper. Did you buy brackets separately for both civic and fortuner or the Chrysler one fit them both? Also, did the mirrors come with their own wiring or you had to make them on your own?

Yes both brackets fit perfectly in my case. And luckily mines came with the wiring! Used ebay ones roughly costed my about 7-8k each from UK. For the aqua i purchased locally which was rough in condition (scratcy glass) payed 5k for that. You can also find these in Bilal Gunj as many cars use the same mirror. Accord, Camry, Vezel, CH-R. Up Spec Prius, etc.

A little off topic here, but I need your expert advice as I see you have installed CC5 tyres on your car.

After buying the car, the first thing I did was to change those awful euro tyres. Currently, I'm running Advan DB on my 18' City, 42K on the Odo. Now, I have read on the forum that Advan DB v552 has been discontinued and whoever is selling them must be selling old stock. So I'm planning on going for Continental CC6 or CC5.

Which one should I get? And what's your review against Continental CC5 or CC6 vs. Advan DB V552?

Ps. Please share some light on Michelin as well, where do they fit in the equation?

I have used both Advan dB 551 and CC6 on my City 1.5 Aspire and in short, the CC6 was an excellent replacement for the Advans. They are almost the same when it comes to noise and comfort, but much better in terms of durability and puncture resistance, and side wall strength.
Advans lasted me around 38-40k km, by which time they had worn out, losing grip and 2-3 out of 4 had some kind of side wall damage. Also had frequent punctures.
CC6 in the other hand have done around 45K and are still going strong. No bumps and bulges in the sidewalls, very few punctures and low noise and comfortable still. Feels like they will go for another 20-25k km easily.
Size was 185/65 15 for both, please don’t go above this size. I’ve also used 195/65 15 Yokohama ECOS for a very short while and they weren’t ok at all.

Yes, CC6 are very good tires and a good replacement for your advans. Go for them
My CC5 are still going strong at 40k kms....
People here love Michelin but i don't like Michelin... Have terrible experience with them.

All had one common problem: these used to create premature screeching sounds in hot weather of Lahore.
I ,later on have used bridgesone ecopia 350 i think, Yokohoma Db decibel, Advan V551 and V552, Continental CC 5 and on the average all had pretty much decent performance. Yokohoma had the problem of increased side wall punctures though.
In my Honda City i haven't even faced one puncture yet....i don't know whether i got lucky or what but this is how it is.
Road noise wise my DB decibels were better then Continental CC5 and db's were even softer . Continentals i feel have a longer Life span then Yokohoma and these perform better in wet conditions i reckon.

Agree with all of it which relates to V551 and CC's. I think CC6 is even better than CC5 since the noise level was similar to V551 in my experience. Money well spent when it comes to the CC6 in my case. I got 4 for 32 back in May 2018, 185/65 15.

No problem, thankyou for such a detailed response. Perfect, I'll definitely go for CC6 now as your and Waqar bhai's reviews have cleared a lot of queries in my mind. As for the profile, I'll stick to 185/65 15 profile as my advan db profile currently is the same one and I find it a perfect balance between stability and economy.

It's settled then, I'll go for the CC6 definitely.
V551 were very quiet to begin with, but now at 42K not so much anymore as they have gotten a little hard. I travel on M2-M4 mostly till Bahawalpur after a couple of months so I figured better not take risk and get them changed before I travel on Eid.

185 65 is very reasonable. I, however, love 195 60 in this generation of City as it's very close to the OEM size
