Finally took delivery of the car yesterday, and it looks b.e.autiful. Although, had to dish out quite a bit for this paint job, I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality of output! I've been asked to bring the car in after 4 weeks once the paint has cured, for a final finish and polish. Some small stuff such as installation of tire mud guards and emblems is also pending for that round. But anyway, have a look at what I'm talking about:

So after I picked up the car from the painter's, I went straight to get the seats installed because they were just kept in the car unfastened which was unsafe, so it was urgent to get it done asap. Little did I know the guy who would fix my seats is located in Jubilee market where traffic is anarchic (rawalpindi saddar like, for those who don't know the south) and I would have to navigate my way through narrow lanes and save the car from kids on bicycles. What a test phew thankfully, the car came home unscratched and the seats are successfully installed. Some clicks:

The seats appear different in height in the above picture, but that is because the driver seat has an adjustable height which is set to the lowest setting at the moment, as I prefer. overall the seats are way more comfortable than the ones I took out. They also fit in well and look pretty decent so no regrets about the decision to have them changed.

very nice quality work going on, I need to know about the cf steering wheel, did you use any adapters or is it a bolt on, also is the opti tron odometer bolt on or requires some signal wires to be relocated, regards

Thanks very much. Glad you like it. The steering is still to come - haven't installed it yet. My friend who sourced it for me, sent along an adapter and a clock spring. I don't think the adaptor should be required since this steering has commonly supplied stock in CF/ES models abroad. The opti tron cluster is also yet to be done. I will post learnings once I have it installed both. Stay tuned.

First if all congratulations for the successful completion of your project. i personally loved the paint job outcome plz pm me the cost you paid for it. i would regret your statement about 7th gen factory fitted seats, they are much comfortable seats unless the foam under them gets hard and dry (not saying cuz of being a 7th gen owner).
If you are changing the tail lights with the crystal ones than you should have body color matching door moldings as the pre-facelift version came with black moldings. once i wanted that cluster for my ES but i got the RS cluster instead of this one, you gonna need the wiring to be redone for this cluster and i have got that diagram lying with me, tell me when you need it. do not drop the plan for getting the jdm amber headlamps, its one of the best oem parts an ES can get.

Yes sir, I'm very pleased with the outcome of the paint work as well. I'll PM you the price. Regarding the seats, i guess they were in really bad condition - for a 14 year old car, I guess that's acceptable. The seats were causing me serious discomfort and backache, and I really see much value in having those repaired because I'm not confident how good a repair our 'cushion walas' can do and it'd be a matter of a few months and they'd wear out again. Moreover, stock replacements weren't available in Shershah (apparently they are a rarity). So the best way was to get a new set which would fulfill the requirements. I must say i am super happy with the decision of getting these seats. They are really comfortable and good quality (Japanese build makes all the difference as you know).

Please do share the wiring, that would be helpful and yes I'm definitely planning to go for the amber corner headlamps - if you can keep an eye out for those on your visits to BG and let me know if you see a nice pair, that would be awesome

The rear lights were for 9K. These are DEPO ones (Thailand) not the genuine (STANLEY) ones which are for 23K. Pretty good IMO.
