aur josh mein i got myself a set of Sony XS-GTR1720S components with a Rogers RA-6400 4 channel AB class amp. Did a semi-DIY not-so-clean mount in the trunk.
the front and rear stage balance is just amazing... and i havent even gotten to fine tuning the system... the bass level is lower than my prior setup but i just love the clarity. the hollowish "punch" bass may be inadequate for a lot of you... but the music i listen to (psytrance and alt rock) plays very nicely.
the hollow bass may be courtesy of a bad tune. any tips on fine tuning? dont have an SQ pre and therefore no advanced audio settings. and i still dunno wht the best tune should be... i go with what feels right to my ears. 
edit: it was a bad tune indeed. fixed it and now the sound is perfect for my ears.
