2013 Ssangyong Rexton. Ssangyong Motor is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra.

The Mercedes-Benz sourced engine is this car's best asset. Added to this is the Korean build quality. And for an on-road price of Rs21.5lacs this is a lot of car for the money.The Rexton's direct competitors in the indian market are the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Honda CRV, Mercedes B-Class , Renault Koleos, Nissan X-Trail, VW Tiguan among a few others i can't remember as of now. I took a test drive on my way home from work thursday evening and was impressed with the car, for the price M&M is asking.

I've mentioned this before, but whenever I arrive back in Bombay from say Delhi or Calcutta or anywhere north of the Vindhyas, I feel like I've arrived in a Western country (relatively speaking) LOL. We are so much more civilised in the western and southern parts of the country thankfully.

i spied a brand new white Maserati GT grancabrio while driving from work this evening and was a joy to behold. pity it was driving in the opposite direction and couldn't capture it and i hope to run into it soon. not literally, though....

saturday was a total washout and if rain persists all night then i dunno about the ODI. and, forget about spotting either but i did come across a 'flying santa', a Nano and a couple of new 2-wheelers from Hero Motor. hopefully sunday will be a better day...
