petrol engine jetta with a 1.4liter turbocharged engine lists for approx. 30,000USD and the 2.0liter turbo diesel lists at 35,000-40,00USD for manual and auto tranny fully loaded. seasonal and corporate discounts apply pushing the actual price down a bit depending on dealer.

Well. 2.5L inline 5 for jetta with fully loaded at 26K. The 2L TSI GLI version is around 30K while nothing below 2L displacement. Even regular golf is 2.5L while TDI us at 2L.. Recently Jetta Hybrid is launched with 1.4L turbo Hybrid..

ok:). actual price paid varies and is similar to what you've posted but with localized displacements. i would like to see the 'CC' here though.

i missed checking out the new Volvo V40 which was in Chennai for ARAI certification testing ahead of it's March launch in the market by a whisker, so to speak. the car drove into the gas station where i fill up too and the guy drove away before i could get there. anyways, March is not too far away.the MRF racing series gets going this weekend so there's a lot to look forward to......
